Every hour until the clock strikes midnight (Eastern time) and we usher in 2015, Diva Dirt will highlight – in no particular order – the women who made an impact in 2014.

Taryn Terrell

Citing the lyrics of Taryn Terrell’s theme song, although she is very hot, her career is by no means in a mess.

The plucky and passionate Knockout returned to TNA in June following the birth of her healthy baby girl. She was immediately thrust into piranha-infested waters as she learned to coexist with frenemy Gail Kim whilst fending off the likes of The Beautiful People.

Over the summer, Taryn showcased herself tremendously in a series of perilous predicaments as her rivalry with Gail Kim evolved from malice filled mania into respect-earning warfare. The pair had a particularly memorable clash back in August, which saw Taryn become tantalizingly close to capturing the TNA Knockouts Title. The pair laid it all on the line and Taryn was even the victim of a brutal neckbreaker onto the steel steps.

Although a whisker away from glory on several occasions, Taryn finally bettered her rival Gail, as well as the threatening presence of Havok in triple threat action. Terrell threw caution to the wind and left everything she had within the six-sided ring. Terrell’s victory was even sweeter as it was Gail’s shoulders she pinned to grasp the gold.

Taryn proved time and time again why she is a diamond in the rough, a sure-fire elite wrestler in years to come. Already so accomplished so early into her career, the sky is the limit for Taryn Terrell.

Come back at the top of every hour to see who else has been crowned one of 2014’s Women of the Year.
