Last night during Raw, Divas fans’ frustration manifested into social media action.
Frustration at repetitive booking and short matches – more or less a constant state of mind amongst Divas fans – boiled over after a 30 second Divas tag match on Raw. Shortly after that match, #GiveDivasAChance began trending on Twitter, at one point becoming the top trend worldwide.
Fans used the hashtag to voice their frustrations and encourage the WWE to improve their treatment of female wrestlers. Some Divas, such as Renee Young, Brie and Nikki Bella showed their support by favoriting tweets using the hashtag.
Former TNA Knockout Velvet Sky also got in on the action, using the hashtag herself:

As of 2am ET Tuesday morning, the hashtag is still trending worldwide and is the top wrestling trend on Twitter.
