The WWE may be interested in having Maria Kanellis return to the company.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer (via The Ring Fan), the WWE recently ran an article featuring the former Diva, and it’s apparently being considered a notable sign that she may be brought back.
Her contract with ROH, along with that of husband Mike Bennett‘s, has expired. With them being free agents at this time, there is said to be interest from the WWE and New Japan in signing the duo. There is also talk of ROH resigning the talents.
Last month, Wrestling Observer reported rumors of the WWE’s interest in Bennet and his tag team partner Matt Taven, but Maria hadn’t yet been part of the conversation.
Maria was released from the WWE in 2010 and was last rumored to return in 2013.
