Extreme Rules Results: Natalya Taps Out, Charlotte Retains

Tonight at Extreme Rules, Charlotte managed to retain her WWE Women’s Championship in a submission match against Natalya, thanks to a surprise distraction by Dana Brooke.

As per Stephanie McMahonRic Flair was banned from being at Charlotte’s corner for this one-on-one submission match against Natalya. The two female submission specialists traded submission holds all throughout the match, weakening body parts with the hopes of causing the other to submit.

When Natalya managed to trap the champion in the SharpShooter, Flair’s music hit but from the entrance ramp, was a Ric Flair disguised Dana Brooke. The challenger broke her SharpShooter finisher hold to fend against the interfering Dana but would find herself caught in the Figure Eight lock when Charlotte recomposed herself, forcing Natalya to tap out.

Post match, Ric Flair joined his daughter and Dana for a celebratory win in Flair fashion.
