Could RAW or SmackDown Live be seeing the return of a former Women’s/ Diva’s Champion? Among many other return rumors and confirmations, one that has set the Women’s Wrestling community abuzz is the possible return of Melina. Since being released from the WWE in 2011, not much has been mentioned about the former Superstar on air. Since her departure, Melina has made a name for herself on the independent circuit. She has wrestled for promotions such as: WSU, WWFX, FWE, NEW, WWC, MCW, and Lucha Underground, she was also the first female inducted into the EWF Hall of Fame.
An accomplished and savvy ring veteran, a return from Melina could spell big things for the SmackDown Women’s division as they begin the process of making their own brand stars. However, matches between Sasha Banks, Paige, and Charlotte on RAW definitely hold potential as promising feuds. No word yet from the WWE or Melina confirming or denying the possibility of a return.
