It's been a tough morning for me and my family. Today we had to say goodbye to one of the greatest men I've ever known. He was a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a veteran, and a damn good man. Goodbyes are never easy. I know it's not forever… And I know that Grandma was there to welcome you with open arms. I'm grateful for every moment we shared from snapping beans on the swing, to singing "Good Morning Capitan" every visit. I'm grateful that my son had the chance to know his great grand~daddy. And I'm grateful that you showed us the loyalty and love of a real man. These memories I will cherish until I see you again. I wish I was there to tell you I love you one last time but I know in my heart you heard it in my prayer filled night. Never miss a moment to tell everyone you love them because you never know when it may be your last. I miss you so much already. Rest in peace my sweet grandpa.
