On this day in history:

March 19th, 2000 | For days, rumors swirled that fitness guru Trish Stratus would be appearing on the WWE’s Sunday Night Heat, but to what purpose? When she appeared on the entrance ramp to survey Test as he wrestled Gangrel and then Prince Albert while he fought Joey Abs, it became clear: she was scouting for a team to manage. Trish liked what she saw, and soon formed the WWE’s newest tag team: T&A.

The day the women’s division began tbh

God to look where she was to where she is now. I knew all along

I didn’t. It wasn’t until 2001 when she faced Ivory in the “if Trish loses, she has to join Right To Censor” match that I really began to see she was going to be more than just a piece of eye candy.

I’ve had a lot of respect for Trish, because she didn’t take the easy path. She could have coasted on her looks and would have been just as popular, but she didn’t.

  • When the new era of Women’s Wrestling begins, of course she wasn’t good at first but with the time became the legend that is nowadays.

  • Instant Classic ?

To put it simply: The birthday of a legend-to-be O.O

      • Cailum?

Don’t even try it. Gaga don’t even know her.

        • PYM #TheRoadTo5

EWWWW how are u gonna stan Alexa but be shading her mom like this? Girl bye.

          • Cailum?

I love Trish but Gaga dosen’t even know most pro wrestlers at all.

    • Sable’s Bumps

you need to go think about what youve done.

        Posted about an iconic legend?

        • Sable’s Bumps

          repent!

    • Angelica Marie MoNae

Lol or Gaga is inspired by everyone lmao

      • Cailum?

Stop pretending that she isn’t the most unique, multi talented artist of our generation. Girl bye. https://gifimage.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Bye-GIF-Image-Download-38.gif

        • Angelica Marie MoNae

Multi talented yes! Unique? Lol not even close. Her entire career is a mashup and rerun of Madonna and Britney Spears. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/aa39a9a940219376f5b928054976281a2470035cbf4fd2073391de84f6ef28d5.gif

          • Cailum?

Britney and Madonna are amazing don’t get me wrong but she has never copied either. The Madonna comparisons are stupid and she can outsing them both. She proved she is more unique than them with Joanne

          • Angelica Marie MoNae

She can outsing them no denying that. I still think her entire career is based off the question “what would Britney and Madonna do” lol. No shade because I like Gaga it’s just everything she has done has been done before. I don’t think Joanne was unique it sounded like if heart or Pat benitar made a pop album.

          • Cailum?

Joanne and ARTOP were nothing like any Britney or Madonna album ever though…

          • Angelica Marie MoNae

That is true it’s not like Britney or Madonna but it’s still just like someone else that inspires her. I’m not knocking her as an artist, it’s ok to be inspired by people. I’m a huge Britney Stan but I admit her career was a mashup of Madonna and Janet Jackson. People influence people.

The birth of the greatest women’s wrestler in WWE history.

    • Angelica Marie MoNae

Greatest female entertainer maybe but definitely not the greatest wrestler there are multiple women in the division now that are better wrestlers.

      • PYM #TheRoadTo5

I mean wrestler in every aspect. But yeah, I’d say the women now have even more popularity than she did but she set the bar that’ll live on forever.

        • Angelica Marie MoNae

That is true without her to spearhead the golden era the women of that era may not have gotten as many opportunities as they did.

          • PYM #TheRoadTo5

Yes, the Golden Era Divas didn’t get to have a Total Divas show, even though I feel like they definitely should have had some kind of a reality show.

          • Angelica Marie MoNae

Reality TV wasn’t as big bag then.

          • Angelica Marie MoNae

            Back then lol

          • jcott3

Trish once said they couldn’t have done Total Divas in her era because “we were all BFF’s”.

          • PYM #TheRoadTo5

they very well could have. I think she just said that to be humorous. the drama on TD isn’t real anyway.

          • jcott3

And that is why I say there is nothing real about reality TV.

  • Delroy Coke

To see a birth of a women’s wrestling revolution at the end of Attitude Era and birth of Ruthless Aggression era. It’s great to see Trish Stratus make an impact

  • Gabriella Panajotova

Honestly wasn’t into her at the time, cause I was more of a Tom boy kinda girl and Lita was my everything :D But that woman worked incredibly hard and made herself HOF worthy. Can’t take that away from her.

  • Jo9834

At the time this was pretty uneventful and a lukewarm way to debut. But just by walking out alone, Trish created such a reaction, a star in the making.

I will never forget how hard she worked, week after week to be respected. The bumps she took, were insane. Bar Lita and possibly Sasha, there has never been another woman in the business who has put her body on the line as much as Trish. It paid off, she’s still considered the greatest.

    • Angelica Marie MoNae

Ehhh idk Victoria and even Torrie Wilson put their bodies on the line as much as Trish. I say Torrie because of all the moves she took from the men like when the Dudley’s power bombed her through a table lol.

      • jcott3

I don’t remember Torrie getting put through a table by the Dudleys. When was it? I remember Terri, Stacy, Barbara Bush, Trish (twice), Mae Young (twice) and Molly Holly (three times) getting tabled by Bubba, but not Torrie.

  • Sable’s Bumps

i always had a feeling Trish was destined to be something big. She is literally THE reason i started watching wrestling.

  • Kelly/Asuka???RainbowGoddess!

Queen, Trish bought these outfits at the nearest shopping mall before the event!

  • Ryan Leslie

T&A were everything. They should’ve held the belts. Trish was always a diamond in the rough, even throughout her debut. She always had that raw talent and charisma that made her stand out. As good as she got in the ring I still loved her back when she debuted and soon after when she was in her mini feud with Terri who she constantly dominated in bra and panties matches. <3 That hat was the business!!

  • Brie’s Lamaze Coach (BAC)??
