Though out of action on the indy scene due to injury, Melina is still very active, recently announcing that she’ll be appearing at RuPaul’s Drag Con this upcoming weekend!

This is the third year of the convention spearheaded by RuPaul and World of Wonder Productions. RuPaul’s DragCon provides a platform for fans – of all ages and backgrounds – to meet and interact with world-renowned celebrities and icons in a friendly and accessible environment.

The convention will feature over 200 vendors and exhibitors, panel discussions, screenings, autographs, and photo opportunities.

In addition to booths on the convention floor, there will be a wide range of programming, including, Q&A sessions with drag stars and icons, lip sync contests, drag herstory discussion groups, and fashion, make-up and styling work shops, for men and women.

“RuPaul’s DragCon is the place to find your tribe,” said RuPaul. “For all the super creative and super sensitive people out there who live in world that says that you’re too much or that you don’t t fit in, DragCon says ‘Welcome home, baby.’”

The convention takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on April 29 and 30.

Melina is expected to return to the squared circle in a few months. When she rejoined the Independent scene in 2016, the A-List Superstar made her name known as she managed to capture a championship – on her first night back in the ring several months later! Here Perez competed in a Southside Wrestling Entertainment tournament in which she defeated the likes of Lana Austin, Nixon Newell and former champion Kay Lee Ray to be crowned the Queen of Southside.

Alongside her ongoing success at Southside Wrestling, the Hell Cat has defeated the likes of Alex Windsor, Dahlia Black, Jinny, Shanna and many others across the globe. The Paparazzi Princess has competed for companies such as Pro Wrestling Chaos, Australian Wrestling Entertainment, Over the Top Wrestling and more.
