Raw Superstar Sasha Banks was recently featured on The Masked Man Show where she spoke on various topics that include whether she prefers playing face or heel, her feud with Charlotte Flair and the Superstar Shake-Up. Highlights of the interview below.

On if she prefers playing face or heel: “Either one. Because a lot of people ask me, ‘When are you going to turn heel? When are you going to turn heel?’’ Like, I don’t care because guess what? I’m going to be in the WWE for a very long time so you’re going to see both versions of myself for a while. So people need to shut up because that’s what I’m sick of hearing. ‘When are you gonna turn heel?’ Then once I turn heel, ‘When are you gonna turn babyface?’ You guys just need to shut up and let me do me okay. Why do you want me to turn on Bayley? That’s my best friend. I don’t have a lot of friends so just accept it. Yeah, I play either one very well, so it doesn’t matter. They’re two different versions.”

Her Raw Women Title reigns: “I know nothing until I get there and sometimes they change it all the time. I didn’t know I was going to win the title the first night. So when Triple H told me I was like ‘Wait, what. Umm, okay. Yeah sure’. Because I never really expected to win the title on TV, on Raw. You just always expect at a PPV. So that first night I was like ‘Oh, okay.’ and then two weeks later when I lost it I was like ‘Oh, okay’. Then the next Raw came and they were like ‘You’re winning it back’ and I was like ‘Wait, what the heck is going on? Okay sure’. So I never know what’s going to happen. I go to TV every week just being ready for everything. You know, you go to stay ready. That’s my slogan, you just don’t get ready, always stay ready.”

Her feud with Charlotte Flair: “I didn’t know me and Charlotte would just go back and forth for however long we did. I’m very happy she’s on SmackDown now so i don’t have to wrestle her for a little bit. But it’s so crazy to think everything me and Charlotte have accomplished together. From our NXT days, from even FCW, we’ve come a long way. We’ve had such an amazing journey together and I am very thankful for having those incredible matches with her because she is amazing.”

On the Superstar Shake-Up: “I’m happy that we have new faces and new match-ups. I do wish that we did have more women on each roster cause I know we only have like six and six. We are going to get a lot of those same match-ups but that’s just going to come with time because, again, where were we going to be three years ago? We probably would not have TV time at alI, probably going back to still having two minute matches. I hate hearing the internet fans complain because they’re not really thinking and seeing back at everything we’ve accomplished but that’s what the Superstar Shake-Up is for. They wanted new match-ups, they’re getting new match-ups. It’s still going to be amazing.”

Sasha also discusses her WrestleMania 33 entrance, the upcoming Mae Young Classic Tournament and the evolution of WWE’s Women’s division.
