Ummm not sure about Asuka continuing her winning streak on Raw .. one day she’ll lose anyway it’ll not last forever !

I have no problem if she didn’t continue the streak , what I’m REALLY afraid of is that Raw will ruin her just like what they did to Sasha and Bayley . Hell , even Nia’s got gimmick got fucked up .

  • YonceLuvsDivas

Do Asuka really need to continue her streak? Now all the women on Raw has to sit there and miss out on a title reign because of this stupid streak. What is so special about Asuka where she can have a two year title reign yet Sasha Banks can only hold the title for a week! #GirlByeWWE

    • Joseph

Probably because WWE always drops the ball with Japanese wrestlers.

      • YonceLuvsDivas

Who’s fault is that? Certainly not everybody on the roster! Maybe if Vince wasn’t a stereotypical butt munch and didn’t hire liked minded we wouldn’t have these issues!

      • Who else has been a Japanese wrestler? I assumed you meant Gail but I don’t think she’s Japanese, is she?

    • It’s part of her appeal, of course her streak needs to continue. It’ll end one day, at the right time, but as of now, it just makes sense to have her come up with this story.

      • Joseph

Asuka vs. Bayley vs. Sasha at WM 34

        • Wrestlemania would be a great place for Asuka’s historic streak to end indeed. As to who should end it… well. No doubt Asuka vs Bayley vs Sasha would be a fantastic match, but given their current position/booking, they are not exactly the most credible threats right now.

Too bad the girl is gonna be on Raw. I am LIVING at the possibility of Asuka vs Charlotte one day.

          • Joseph

Depends i could see the 4HW on the same show by this time next year.

          • Wrestling.fan.from.France

Yeah, I definitely believe that such a streak should end at WM (just like Charlotte’s big streak should have ended there too!!!). On top of that, for WM, I want her to loose her streak in a SINGLES match this time and Charlotte was one of my big favorite to win this streak since well, she would definitely be worthy and it’s a dream match in its own.

Now, if she’s on Raw, I have a feeling they would have Bayley beat her. It’s clear that Bayley needs some kind of redemption or and character revamp and I feel like her building her way back to until that point at WM is something WWE would do which could also be a good for her.

OR… Sasha Banks will do it but since they don’t seem fully invested in her, it’s less likely unfortunately.

The only girl outside the box that could surprisingly defeat her on the Raw brand would be Paige but chances are LOW.

          • I’ll never forgive WWE for having Charlotte’s streak end on a B-level PPV after building it up for so long. It was more nonsensical than usual.

I wouldn’t mind Bayley beating her to be honest (even though I’m already annoyed at the “muuuh again a horsewomen getting the accolade!!!” argument, if that were to happen), she has the perfect character for it, since she’s the opposite of Asuka. But with the right story and the right focus, similar to her rise in NXT in the sense where it would have to be a slow-burn feud with WM as the final chapter. Unfortunately, I have absolutely 0 faith in the company. I’m already worried enough for Asuka. In a perfect world, she’d be booked like a more involved Brock Lesnar, but I feel like we’re gonna have to sit through weeks and weeks of squash matches against nameless jobbers.

Or they will have miss Bliss or Nia beat her. Lol

          • Wrestling.fan.from.France

“Or they will have miss Bliss or Nia beat her. Lol”
I don’t even want to think about it… lol

          • Let’s get ready to see her fall to a DDT or a Samoan Drop.

          • Paige returning and ending the streak would be sick.

          • Rosanna

Charlotte is not going to dethrone Asuka that’s evident. None of the main roster girls are going to dethrone Asuka. It’s obviously going to be a NXT girl. Ember, Kairi, Jazzy, are looking very credible. The story of Ember vs Asuka isn’t finished yet either. She’s going to the main roster but there’s still unfished business between those two.

  • -V

It would be the biggest surprise ever if they indeed continue Asuka’s streak, judging by all the people they have ruined once they become part of the main roster..

  • KellyAJNaomi#Slay

I’m calling it right now there’s no way fans aren’t turning on Asuka before WM because they do it with everybody Asuka is gonna have to deal with facing ppl every week not once or twice a month ppl are gonna get bored seeing the same thing all the time and turn

    • brimode

I think that’s the big thing with fans turning on NXT stars when they’re called up – people like them when they’re seeing them once or twice a month, but when it’s every single week, people do find them boring and stale. Especially when a character isn’t very deep.
Take Bayley for example – she has had terrible booking, yeah, but an underdog can only be an underdog for so long and when they’re winning almost every single match, it takes away from the character and people lose interest.

      • TheRealest #ItsBossTime

THIS!! people always blame all of Bayley’s somewhat “failure” on the main roster on her booking when it’s really a mix of that and people getting sick of the same old shtick week in week out.

      • YonceLuvsDivas

      • YonceLuvsDivas

The thing is that NXT kind of ruined the build for an upcoming star on the roster. Back in the day we wouldn’t know if you was signed to wwe til your debut! Only a good handful of fans knew of the development system. Now we already know who they are. They come up to the roster from having this stellar career on NXT and continues it on the Main Roster. They come on the main roster as The Rock when really they should be called up looking like Sami Zayn. Honestly the only person from NXT who is treated as a rookie and is being build from one in to a star.

  • Jo9834

Asuka takes the title and then what?, there aren’t any females on Raw that would currently be capable of taking her on, especially now that they’ve made Sasha look like a joke. Unless they plan on having some of the girls from the MYC come up this is going to get stale very quickly.

  • trishlita721

Bayleys character could have become so huge but creative failed once again on a nxt call up. The problem is that even if bayley continued her underdog persona there arnt credible nor enough heels on the roster for her to bounce off and for her to jump straight into the title scene after Sasha went through hell made the crowd turn. I think bayley should have been booked like maria/ ashley when they had Vince’s devils attacking them weekly but then again there’s another problem because bayley was so over developed in nxt that she’s not an underdog at all. I don’t know what the solution is.

  • TheRealest #ItsBossTime

I honestly believe that a lot of Bayley’s redemption has to come down to her. Yes, creative did screw her up a bit with an untimely title win, naive character and an underdog character that still manages to win all the time. But her path went a lot like Emma’s after her call up. Neither of them had much going on besides good ring skills and a basic character that seemed to have stuck with an NXT crowd who didn’t see them on TV every single week and therefore probably didn’t have to push their limits and boundaries as much as they have to do on the main roster. I’ll give props to Emma for reinventing herself and making herself more diverse , now it’s time for Bayley to do the same.

    • trishlita721

After hearing Sasha’s interview that they have no idea what their doing until air time I think their doomed and after that tweet match between Emma and Mickie which was inspired by a b grade highschool cheerleader movie I think I give up.

  • Ryan Stratus

Do not give Asuka the women’s championship on her debut! I want to see something different for once. Not no knock off Gail Kim.

    • PYM #TakeoverSmackdown

She’s already established though. Everyone knows who Asuka is.

    • SW

Paige would technicianally be the knock off gail

  • A One of a Kind Collectible

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again Asuka’s character is impossible to book on the main roster. Statistics don’t lie, whilst she has the longest title reign in recent wwe history she only wrestled in 17 televised matches (Not including TakeOvers) since Dallas… 18 in nearly 2 years. Being on RAW or SD each week would only make her boring and predictable. We’d see every PPV match and know she’s going to beat Alexa, Nia, Bayley or Sasha before the match was even announced. Sure they can cheat it, by having her lose via count out or someone else gets pinned in multi women matches, but that is just BLAH

I said last week my problem with Asuka’s NXT reign is that she was more interesting and felt more important than the title itself. People were no longer asking ‘Who will be the next women’s champion?’ They were asking ‘Who will end Asuka’s undefeated streak’ thus rendering the title as an after thought.

  • conan_kun

I still don’t believe Vince gonna let Asian woman to be face of women’s division since main roster and NXT are different world when Vince is in charge of Raw, I can see Asuka’s undefeated streak abruptly, like Nakamura lost his main roster single match undefeated streak to lowly talented Jinder Mahal.

    • A One of a Kind Collectible

    • Jo9834

Gail deserved so much better and now I see why Vince never pushed her, it was personal, sexist, racist and completely uncalled for if true. That ‘Asian girl’ he never pushed has dedicated her entire adulthood to the business putting on some of the greatest womens matches in mainstream history. Asuka has Triple H so I don’t think she’ll have it as bad as Gail ever did.

  • 3???????

Yeaaaa, NO. Continuing asuka streak would be stupid . especially considering Charlotte pretty much dominated all last year with her ppv wins .

    • Charlotte is the only one I can see breaking it. I think Becky could defeat Asuka but it doesn’t seem like WWE would give the Lass Kicker that honor.

  • 3???????

& not to mention that would never work on the main roster considering its live & weekly unlike NXT. Any match involving her would be boring & not even hyped cuz we all know she will win ?????

  • 3???????

But I also see Vince letting Alexa break the streak

  • Crazy. #RIPMae

Asuka winning the RAW Women’s championship and continuing her streak could be a good thing. Hopefully whoever wins off her is someone totally unexpected to make it more shocking. I don’t want to see Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte, Becky or Alexa breaking the streak I’d love for a new star to break the streak. But knowing WWE they’ll have Alexa or Nia break the streak. Breaking the streak will be a good thing for Nia though because maybe she’ll finally get consistent reaction.

    • conan_kun
      • Troy Smith

I think that’s the only way her losing will be believable. There is no woman in WWE that I buy into as THE WOMAN THAT BEAT ASUKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You’ll have to do a huge screw job to make anyone believe that Asuka lost.

    • I’m not even necessarily a Nia fan (I don’t dislike her) but I think she should be the one to defeat Asuka. Makes the most sense..

  • Please don’t, don’t let Asuka’s streak ruin and screw othe girls the chance to be champions please. This thing needs to be over.

    • ???

Yeah, but I hope they don’t ruin her and make her looks like a joke either

  • Aye Mate

I imagine Vince would sacrifice Asuka to Alexa in a clean loss for the sake getting the latter “heel heat”.

    • That would literally make so many people lose their shit.
I’m an Alexa Bliss fan and even I don’t think she should defeat Asuka.
      Nia Jax should defeat her.

      • Aye Mate

I can’t get on board with that until I see more consistency in both Nia’s performances and better booking of her on WWE’s part.

        • But don’t you think it makes most sense physically if Nia defeats her..
Hopefully at a PPV. I don’t think this would even need to be a title match for the audience to care about it.

          • Aye Mate

Honestly, no. I don’t at all

A lot of people, in my opinion, misinterpret the idea of Asuka’s character. She’s a supercharged boss, an anti-hero who digs deep into mental and physical reserves to pull out the victory in her most important matches. Her dominance isn’t based on strength or power; she thrives on resilience and violence. Because of this, her first ever defeat has to be profound.

Nia, on the other hand, is booked to be a lumbering and clumsy “monster” heel who can only get the job halfway done. Her ring skills are only infrequently impressive. Right now, she has a long way to go before she’s in the same conversation.

      • Aye Mate

I do think that Nia’s best singles matches have been with Asuka, though.

  • Nathan

I’m ok with Asuka continuing her winning streak, and winning the title, but I’d have her fued outside of the title picture until Nov/Dec then have her win and go into WM as champ and still undefeated.

  • The Paparazzi Prince (MIMQ)

  • Miguel

Looking forward to Asuka’s MR debut and then Alundra’s documentary.

  • Shan

Lol, I’m here for Asuka maintaining her streak and destroying everybody! Then someone cheats sontinuously to win. Only way I buy anyone beating her.
