Ronda Rousey’s contract signing ends with a confrontation

Tonight at the Elimination Chamber, Ronda Rousey signed her WWE Raw contact and got into a physical altercation with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

At the start of the in-ring segment, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon welcomed Rousey with Triple H praising Rousey’s judo, Olympic, and MMA accomplishments.

Once in the ring, Rousy took the mic to say it was an honor to be in the ring with the likes of Kurt Angle. She proceeded by thanking her inspiration the late Roddy Piper. Triple H then revealed that once Rousey signs her contract, she will compete in a non-title match at WrestleMania.

Before Rousey signed the contract, she then turned her attention to Angle, who said that Triple H and McMahon were able to “manipulate” Rousey even after their WrestleMania 31 encounter. Triple H tried to turn things around by saying that tonight was about Rousey becoming a WWE Superstar, He then escorted Angle to the back, noting that he was suffering from the flu and was “relapsing”.

McMahon proceeded with the signing contract and said despite Rousey embarrassing them at WrestleMania, she impressed them. McMahon called Rousey one of the greatest fighters in the world who should be a part of the WWE.

From the entrance ramp, Angle added that McMahon referred to Rousey a “has-been that even she could take on”. Triple H made it back to the ring to create separation between Rousey and McMahon but Rousey stood her ground.

When McMahon left the ring, Rousey tossed Triple H through a table. McMahon re-entered the ring to slap Rousey across the face but then left after an intense staredown. Things ended with Rousey officially signing her contract and tossing over Triple H.
