It’s been months since Ms. Money in the Bank has teased an attempt at cashing in for a chance at SmackDown gold. Now rumors are surfacing that Carmella may take the opportunity to do so very soon.
According to journalist Brad Shepard on his Backstage in WWE podcast, Carmella’s Money in the Bank cash in could come at WrestleMania. However, she’s expected to lose the match it earns her.
Shepard said, “Well apparently from what I’ve heard she’s okay with it. She’s down to do it. She basically knows Asuka is going to be champ and she doesn’t have a chance of winning the championship from her so it’s kinda like, “You might as well make the most of losing. Why not WrestleMania?”
There is also the possibility that plans might be changed to have Carmella cash in after WrestleMania, since the contract expires only in June 2018, giving her two more months to hold it.
Fans have also speculated she could cash in during Alexa Bliss‘ title match.
What do you think about this rumor? Will WWE book the first Ms. Money in the Bank to lose her match? How would you book this? Sound off in the comments below.
