RISE Wrestling releases card for first weekly show

RISE Wrestling will begin releasing weekly episodes on their streaming service beginning on May 30th. Called RISE ASCENT, the promotion will feature the best up and coming talent on the women’s wrestling scene.

The promotion just released the card for the first episode and featured matches include:

These matches were taped on on May 12th in White Oak, Pennsylvania along with the first six episodes of RISE-ASCENT.

The team of Paradise Lost consists of Dust, who was the first ever Phoenix of RISE Champion and her partner Melanie Cruise who are both managed by IMPACT Knockout Rosemary who currently is out of action with an ACL injury.

Their opponents Riley Shepard & Kate Carney are new up and coming talent. Riley is the self-proclaimed’ Gladiator of the Geeks’, from Howell, NJ who trains at the Monster Factory in Paulsboro, NJ.

Also in the first episode, Xia Brookside will make her RISE debut. The 18-year-old who is the daughter of NXT trainer Robbie Brookside recently just returned from an extended tour in Japan with STARDOM which saw her defend her IPW UK Women’s Title against several different competitors, making history being the first women to defend the belt in Japan.

She will face off against core roster member ‘The Fallen Flower’ Kikyo, who has been a part of RISE since the first show. An attack on Cheerleader Melissa by Kikyo, Kris Wolf, and Dynamite DiDi at RISE 6 was revealed to have been orchestrated by Bull Nakano, handing down the legacy of Gokumon-to to a new generation of women wrestlers.

In the main event, former Phoenix of RISE Champion Shotzi Blackheart takes on Kimber Lee. Since her release from NXT earlier in the year Kimber Lee has hit the ground running in the Indie scene, wrestling for promotions such as AAW, Beyond, SHIMMER, and SHINE Wrestling.
