The Queen of Spades, Shayna Baszler, is now the first-ever two-time NXT Women’s Champion. Tonight, on the Evolution PPV, Baszler defeated the Pirate Princess, Kairi Sane, to gain this accomplishment.

Baszler and Sane had a competitive seesaw bout. Both competitors displayed their dominance throughout the match. The ruthless aggression from Baszler seemed to only strengthen the heart of the champion.

At the turning point of the match, Sane hits a DDT on her opponent and heads up to the top rope to hit her signature move, the Insane Elbow. Baszler rolls out of the ring to escape. Sane goes for it, anyway, and hits the Insane Elbow to the Queen of Spades on the outside of the ring. Sane was then able to hoist her over the barricade to where Baszler crashed down into the front row.

The front row had Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir in it. This was enough to get Baszler’s friends and fellow Horsewomen involved. Duke grabbed Sane by the hair to give time for Baszler to regroup. Once Sane returned back into the ring, Shafir appeared on the ring apron to cause enough distraction for Sane. Baszler took advantage and locked in the Kirifuda Clutch. Sane was able to counter for a count of two, but Baszler was able to lock it in a second time. The Pirate Princess passed out from the second clutch and Baszler emerged victorious with the assist from Duke and Shafir.
