Mixed Match Challenge winners to be final entries at Royal Rumble

WWE recently announced that the winners of the Mixed Match Challenge will receive bragging rights and lucrative leverage at the Royal Rumble.

The Mixed Match Challenge is a WWE web series in partnership with Facebook that features intergender teams and matches from both Raw and SmackDown, and in season one, they fought for $100k for their respected charity. Season one concluded with the team of Asuka and The Miz, representing Rescue Dogs Rock, winning the contest.

In season two, WWE decided to change the format, implementing a round robin tournament, where each brand faces teams within their own brands and the best teams will meet each other to wins this year’s contest.

WWE recently announced that in addition to bragging rights over the other nine teams, the two winning Superstars of this seasons contest will be the 30th entry in the Royal Rumble for both the men’s and women’s matches, raising the stakes heading into the event. The two individuals who win those matches will get an opportunity to pick which champions they would like to face at WrestleMania in April at MetLife Stadium.

Make sure you tune into Mixed Match Challenge Season 2, Tuesdays on Facebook Watch at 10 p.m. EST.
