What’s That? ECW With a Real Divas Match?

It has to be seen to be believed, but last night ECW pulled a real wrestling match featuring the Divas. We’re not talking about Kelly Kelly vs Layla part 13544634, we’re talking about a competetive, physical match-up like RAW and SmackDown! This was a really good match, though it is funny how the ECW Divas, Kelly and Layla got no ring time! Natalya, Michelle and Victoria all were great in the ring, though Michelle seemed a little off her game this week. I don’t like Victoria jobbing to Cherry, why couldn’t it have been Layla?! Other than that, a very good match up. Watch below!
I don’t know what’s going over at WWE HQ in Stamford but I think all of us Diva fans should band together and count our blessings, because this has been a week of unusually strong booking for the Divas! We had a fantastic night for Mickie and co. on RAW on Monday, a great match on ECW and we can look forward to not one but two Diva matches on SmackDown! and then there’s Judgment Day on Sunday!

Honestly i think that was a good match. I’m glad WWE is letting girls have real wrestling matches now. I hope to see more of this and the new comers to improve.
That was a pertty good match. Better than the garbage fest “Expose” attempt last week. I’m just dissappointed that Kelly nor Layla got any ringtime. Kelly has really impressed me lately (see: SD last week). My only real beef is “Why does Cherry always get the upset victory?” I mean, everytime she wrestles, its an upset, which tells me that Kara’s (Cherry) skills aren’t that great yet. I do like the fact that she is a “descent” diva on the roster though. She balances out the “nearly nothing” outfits that a majority of the other divas wear.
Also, big props to Natalya. She has really made a name for herself in her past few weeks. WWE finally did something right! Hopefully they’ll make up for all their mistakes soon (i.e. Not giving Torrie much of any title push, or any push for that matter. I would have felt better about her release if WWE had taken her new found abilities to the next level, instead of keeping them hidden. Even J.R said “I don’t think many people really knew how athletic Torrie really is…”) Anywho, I’m finished now.
It’s probably for the best that Kelly didn’t get in there.
That said, I like that they’re pushing Cherry as the underdog. Hopefully she’ll eventually get to the level of everyone else (Layla and Kelly excluded, obviously).
Kara(Cherry)can wrestle. She’s been wrestling in the indies for years.
She has more experience than Kelly Kelly & Layla put together but for some reason WWE have made her character scared to wrestle and kinda useless, hope she shows what she can do in the next few months.
Anyway glad there were lots of Divas action this week.
It makes me think.
Maybe WWE officials have noticed the positive reaction TNA Knockout have been getting from the fans and media over the last year for there matches and are thinking about using the Divas that can wrestle a bit more.
We can only hope!
