Each year all the big American television networks hold their “upfront presentations” to unveil their new fall schedules, with the fall schedule usually beginning in September marking the beginning of that year’s “television season.” At these upfronts, many new shows are announced (can I get a woo-hoo for Buffy guru Joss Whedon’s new show, Dollhouse!), many returning favourites are confirmed (yay more Brothers & Sisters, Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives!) and some shows are dropped completely (so long Moonlight, we hardly knew ya *sniffle*). Well Diva Dirt is holding it’s very own upfronts to announce our summer schedule!

First of all, an update on the site so far. As of today, we have 237 blogs up since our relaunch in March. In that time, our readership has grown day by day, so thanks to everyone who stops by and reads Diva Dirt! We’ve accomplished a lot in that time; just last week, we got a lovely little mention on The Heyman Hustle, which we treasure as a milestone. We couldn’t have done that without you guys, what’s the point in a blog if no one reads?

Secondly, Erin and I would like to thank Ryan who has stepped down from Diva Dirt, for his help during the time he was with us. It was a unique experience having an Ashley fan on board, the whole idea is to present alternative views and that’s what makes this work. So thanks, Ryan! We are now, once again, looking to hire a new person to join the team! Check out the full details by clicking here.

Now onto pièce de résistance, our summer schedule. Follow the cut:

This summer, we want to present more content than ever. We’re ripping a page out of WWE’s book and scheduling content 7 days a week, so you’ll have something new to check out every day! Highlighting our sked will be the ominous feature that we’ve been counting down to for the past 15 days (see the top right hand corner). What is it?! Find out Sunday, June 1st! Co-headlining is the Summer Sizzler Series as a recurring feature, which Erin launched yesterday. For those of you who, like me, are stuck in crappy weather - live vicariously through our favourite Divas! We’re going to be presenting photos, videos and more of the Divas on their “holidays”, well from the Diva DVDs, as they lay on the beach posing effortlessly!

More new content this summer will be the four-week long Diva Draft, launching later today. Thursday will see the launch of The Diva Dirt Sheet, listen as Diva Dirt gets all hi-tech with our very own audio show hosted by Erin! And joining the Monday lineup to get your week started will be the launch of Diva Dirt’s Next Top Model, a rehash of the original contest which was due to begin here in March. Returning favourites will include RAW Redux, Screen Sirens, Diva of the Week, Style Showdown and more.
