Shantelle Taylor Signed to TNA

Well, with last week’s news that Jazz possibly passed up a TNA deal, this info will surely restore hope in TNA Knockout fans. Indy darling Shantelle Taylor has reportedly signed with the company, according to PWInsider.com:

TNA has signed former WWE developmental talent Shantelle Taylor. The company quietly signed her after her initial dark match in Orlando a few months back but had to work out visa issues as she’s a Canadian native. Taylor has been seen in the crowd during the last few weeks of Impact so my guess is she’ll eventually become involved in the Awesome Kong open challenge.

Personally, I love this news. She was excellent in her matches on the SHIMMER DVDs. For those of you curious as to how Shantelle works in the ring, here’s a match from when she was briefly under a WWE developmental deal and competed in the short-lived Deep South Wrestling:

  1. How could WWE let her go? She’s amazing in the ring. If Krissy hadn’t screwed up they could have had a great fued in WWE too. Well TNA is doing what’s smart and picking up someone that can wrestle. Not that they always do. lol

  2. I think this is a great choice! I love that TNA is making their knockouts as equal as the Males.

And Kelli, i totally agree, Krissy did screw up. Who leaves a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for their boyfriend, lol. And, what kind of boyfriend would let her do that.

  3. Actually Doug, Krissy was having a lot of family issues at the time also. Everything just kind of came to a head at the same time. I was doing her official site for a while. She’s a really nice girl. She’s also mentioned the family issues in interviews, it’s just that the news sites decided to only talk about the boyfriend aspect of it.

  4. Oh, I had no idea that she had more going on. That’s still unfortunate though. She would have made a great diva.

  5. Thanks for agreeing Doug. lol But I had no idea Krissy was having family issues. Hopefully they were not to bad. I know all about family issues. lol But still many have family issues and make it in any wrestling industry. She and Torrie would have had a great feud, I’m sure. But if she had to leave for family issues I would support that. Maybe she’ll pop up in TNA sometime.
