After four years on Raw, Maria was moved to SmackDown earlier today in the Supplemental Draft but girlfriend is not happy. Unlike the live Draft on Monday, the Superstars involved in today’s Draft were notified of the move beforehand. Rumour has it that Maria did not take the news well and considered it a demotion.
I hate to repeat the positives of Maria’s drafting, so I am just going to direct you to our total analysis.

Wimp, can she not see SD is actually growing some balls (so to speak) for Women’s wrestling and she’s moaning and bitching about being a part of it? Maria, dear, until you reach Trish/Lita level you don’t go bitching about situations you get put in. You are hardly the best worker on the roster and have had opportunity after opportunity. JR is the voice of Monday Night Raw and will be missed.
JR has so much more reason to be upset than Ashley.

Geez Daniel, give the girl a break. She has a right to not be happy. It’s not like she said she’s quitting or something, she’s just unhappy. I think any of the girls on Raw who got moved would feel the same way initially. Say what you want but Smackdown is seen as the “B” show so of course her first reaction might be to feel that way. I’m so sick of the constant Maria bashing on this site.
I can understand her being a little upset. Just like J.R.. See, the WWE treated Smackdown like the second rate show for sooo long, that now they can’t expect ppl to be chomping at the bit to go there. Maybe that will change now that bigger names are there, but I can understand their feelings. Give it time, Maria!
Well, DJ. I’m sorry if you don’t like my opinion or POV but from what you say you obviously can’t handle criticism (of your favourite Divas) or other people’s opinions.
Yes, in your eyes and mine Smackdown is seen as the B-show but not everybody feels the same.
The point I was making was that Maria should not be acting like a diva when she has done nothing to earn the status or merit her towards it. (and by diva I don’t mean the WWE term)
If she had been fired maybe she would have a reason to be upset but she’s still in a job for the WWE – maybe now she’s on SD, Victoria might be able to help her advance her wrestling skills. If you ask me, how they are now she shouldn’t have been on Raw anyway (with it being the A show!)
Also, she must have known there was a chance she was moving brands and she’s been treated well on Raw. Isn’t it time someone else, i.e., Layla, had a time to shine?
It’s part of the job and not a life or death situation which I think both her and you need to get used to.
I honestly don’t see this as bashing. We’re merely reporting the news. I know we give our opinions a lot, and they may be negative a lot of the time, but I seriously don’t sit down and say, “Okay, time to bash Maria/Ashley/Candice/whoever!”. I just take the material given and give my honest opinion. The day I start bashing Maria for breathing, please let me know and hit me with a brick.

As Erin says, all our blogs are derived from source material. We don’t just decide to make a blog for the sole purpose of bashing Maria or anyone else for that matter.
To be honest, I’m sick of people crying foul play. We are not a fansite, we are not all sugar, sweet and fairy treats. You know exactly what you’re getting yourself into when visiting a blog. Have some accountability for yourself.
Yah. It’s a blog and not a site that requires full objectivity and being totally impartial. I’ve notived before people have an attitude that make you feel the need to tip-toe around with you opinion when really there should be no need to.
Well Melanie and Erin, my comment was directed at Daniel, (I thought that was obvious, sorry) not at either one of you. I thought the post was fair, all it said was she was upset, which Daniel turned into bitching and moaning and who does she think she is, etc. Funny though Daniel that you are entitled to your opinion but Maria and apparently I am not.
And Melanie and Erin, while it’s quite obvious that Maria is not one of your favorite Divas, the only thing I even remotely had an issue with (and it’s not even that big of a deal) is when you drew stuff on one of her pics, and the only reason for that is because it reminded me of Perez Hilton who I loathe.

I am not trying to stop you having your opinion nor do I have a way (even if I wanted to) of stopping Maria have hers. All I saw from your post was you trying to stop me saying negative things regarding her; “I’m so sick of the constant Maria bashing on this site!”
You say the post was directed towards me, but in that quote from your post it must also be directed towards anyone else who has said anything negative about Maria – I know before now, on this site, I have not.

Where did I tell you not to respond? And how is me saying I am sick of something the same as me saying that I am trying to stop people from saying anything? Are we speaking the same language here?
To repeat, all I am saying is that Maria has a right to be upset to be leaving a show she has been on for 4 years and to be going to a show considered by most to be the “B” show.
By the constant Maria bashing I mean when something is posted on here, then you read the comments and people are calling her slutty, etc. It’s ridiculous.
And as Jane posted, Maria should get over it and I’m sure she will once she’s over there and she’s used to it.
I think Maria should be excited to go on Smackdown. She will probably get more attention than she does on RAW. People already love her (not me, although I like her mic work) as her signed 8X10s bring the most money in on the WWE auction site, and she can only grow in popularity on the “b” brand.

It might even begin to rival RAW in terms of importance to WWE. After all, do you think Mr. Levesque will sit by and be on the inferior show?
The whole idea of this year’s Draft was to give SmackDown equal importance. With the move to My Network TV, they finally realise that SmackDown can’t afford to be the B show anymore and that both Raw and SmackDown need to make bank. If I was Maria, I’d be excited to be part of the new improved SmackDown.

And I’m sure she will be. It’s just the initial shock of moving. You guys posted a video last week some time with Torrie crying about having to move after the draft. She was upset. I’m sure that’s how Maria felt as well.
For the record I am happy that Maria was moved. I felt the same way as was posted here, that she will grow as a performer on Smackdown.
Oh, the Maria thing was a Batman reference. The title of the post was “Why So Serious?” – the Joker’s catchphrase, if you will, in The Dark Knight. It’s become an internet trend to “Jokerize” people – draw the circles around the eyes and the bright red lips – so we did it to her in jest. Believe me, we’ll never stoop to Perez Hilton’s MS Paint artistry. I think it’s more a testament to our Dark Knight obsession rather than hate for Maria. :P
Does anyone really hate Maria? I don’t. I think she is really good on the mic. I was just tired of her stealing the screen time of real womens wrestlers on RAW.
