It was performed by Arthur Malkani from University of Louisville hospital. You can google his name. He is the adult orthopedic director at U of L. I have had a calcaneal plate with seven screws since. I am able to run 5 miles a day now with no problem. If you have the reconstruction surgery, have Malkani do it. You will love him afterward. This is an incredibly painful injury and you will not be walking for at least six months unfortunately.
