YouTube Classics: Michelle McCool vs. Melina

Welcome to the YouTube Classics! This week, with the first match for the SmackDown Divas Title coming this Sunday, our theme is “The All-American Girl”, matches featuring Michelle McCool. We’ve said time and time again how far Michelle has progressed in the ring, and we’ll show you throughout the week, starting from the humble beginnings and ending with her most recent progressions. Today, we have Michelle McCool vs. Melina from the June 30th, 2005 SmackDown. This was Melina’s first WWE match, and Michelle was her first real feud. This match showcases Michelle’s greenness, if you will, but I think it serves to show the difference between then and now. It’s not a 5-star match by any means, but I think it’s quite entertaining nevertheless!

    I was at that Smackdown! It was at the Arrowhead Pond now known as the Honda Center in anaheim. It was a cool Smackdown. It was my first Smackdwon also

    I thought this match was really entertaining.
    It really helped Melina grow into a bigger heel

    I didn’t like either Diva at this time lol =P Not the perfect example of either Diva’s skills but they have both come really far.
