It’s official, ladies and gents… Michelle McCool is your first ever Divas Champion! Results are below! Happy? Sad? Pissed? Sound off in the comments!
Match Number Five: Michelle McCool versus Natalya Neidhart for the Divas Title
They lock up and Michelle with a waist lock take down. Natalya with a standing switch. Michelle with a drop kick for a near fall and then she works on the arm. Michelle with a series of European uppercuts. Michelle with a kick to Natalya. Michelle tries for a wheelbarrow move but Natalya turns it into a hot shot. Natalya with a near fall and then she slams Michelle’s head into the mat. Natalya works on the knee and then she tries for a surfboard move. Michelle powers out of the move and turns it into a heel hook but Natalya gets to the ropes and apron. Natalya wraps Michelle around the ring post. Natalya with a kick to the head and then she starts to work on the hamstring before getting another near fall.
Natalya with forearms and then she sets for the Sharpshooter and she locks it in. Michelle makes it to the ropes to get Natalya to release the hold. Natalya slams Michelle’s head into the mat. Natalya tries for the Sharpshooter again, but Michelle with the heel hook again. Natalya rolls to the ropes but she cannot reach them and she taps out.
Winner: Michelle McCool

The biggest let down to quite possibly the biggest diva news in a few years!
I’m happy because I love Michelle… and I’m happy because at least now Maria probably won’t be getting the title.
that match will surely go down in history, as being on the shortest-non eventful,most predictable, match in history.

Congratulations Michelle!! The match was uber short, and could have been a little bit more entertaining, but kudos to both ladies for giving their best and putting up a really decent show.
short, bad match with a terrible ending…if Nattie was champ theres more opportunities for feuds and the SD women could take over RAW at this opportune time with everyone injured..but no, McCool is “champ” so its more Michelle v Nattie and Michelle v Victoria…whoppee

McCool worked for a year and a half (she wasn’t doing much her first years) and to have that defeat 8 years of experience is barf material.

Kinda sucks that Michelle won, but it might be the best for Natalya. She hasn’t been in WWE for that long, and I wouldn’t want to see what happened to Gail Kim when she won the title so soon to happen to her. Hopefully she could take it at SummerSlam,a MUCH more prestigious PPV. And anyway, that monstrosity of a belt probably WON’T last long anyway.
The match sucked. The crowd didn’t care. The office obviously didn’t care beecause they had Jericho stop any celebration. McCool is boring. And there is no need for 2 titles in the first place.
All in all, not a good night.

Okay, first off, Kudos to both women for the match. Short, but still better than what some of the other Divas can pull off. Secondly, if Michelle is boring and has a personality of a rock, then it’s something for her to work on. Don’t use stupid things like that as a vendetta against them. If she’s got no personality, then Eve has no skill. Natalya is a ring veteran. You can bank on her to be on her “A” Game everytime she wrestles. But she lacks some crossover appeal with some fans. So my point? Every Diva has their pros and cons, but in the end, when the chemistry is perfect, which it is, the match turns out really well. Michelle and Natalya did justice to the alloted time they were given.

i don’t think that michelle winning the championship was bad, i think the fact that she didn’t tap out to the sharp shooter was bullcrap. I mean ppl better than her, like lita, have tapped out to the sharpshooter. I think they shouldn’t have had natalya use the sharpshooter if michelle was going to win, because WWE is basically saying that Michelle McCool is better than all the greats that have tapped out to the sharpshooter.

I am truly thinking of not watching SD now. If Natalya and Victoria weren’t on it that would happen but i’ll just have to mute anything involving Michelle.
I think Natlya should have won for many reasons. Not just because I can’t stand Michelle.
1)Natalya is by far a better wrestler then Michelle will ever be.
2)It would have been so much better to see Natalya win because of the famous family she grew up with. It would have been awsome to see someone from that family become the first SD Divas Champion.
3)It would have been so much better to see Natalya win and have Michelle be the one to chase after the title and after a while take the title.

I still can’t believe she won. Since it was the first ever diva’s Championship match and this was the only first every diva’s championship match, they should’ve scripted it much much better. I’m still pissed that michelle didn’t tap out to the sharpshooter. that pisses me off.
It was one of the worst disappointing matches I have ever seen. I feel bad for Natalya, they told her to tap to Michelle’s Heel Hook! That is embarrassing, she would never do that. Everyone knows that Natalya was clearly the better wrestler in the match. The title would have had more prestige if a heel one it first. Because now, nobody cares one way or another. They are going to have to have a super face have the title now, to be able to push it hard. And judging by the reaction Maria got when she came to Smackdown, I would say she is a pretty good canidate
