Word has it that Gail Kim has already signed a contract with the WWE. Since news broke last week, I haven’t been able to confirm if she had signed yet or not, until now – apparently she has. Gail has reportedly signed a three-year contract worth an estimated $400-500k a year. That would put Gail on par with Trish Stratus during her tenure with the company.
EDIT: According to one report, TNA’s offer to Gail is said to be less than a $100,000 a year. And that was their top Knockout, sheesh imagine what Rhaka Khan must make…

Wow! WWE must have really wanted Gail! I’m sure Gail will do great in the WWE. Who knows? She may be as great as Trish one day.

Agreed with Janet. Trish had popularity like Austin and the Rock. But as far as wrestling goes, Gail beats her by a mile.
They must have some serious storylines planned for Gail for that kind of money. That has to automatically put her at the top of the Diva payscale.
Also, with that kind of money, she has got to be going to RAW.
I get the feeling that the WWE overpaid. The WWE has never promoted their women as main eventers, so why start now? Vince does have an ego and it would not surprise me if overpaying for Gail is in retaliation for rumors of TNA signing Mick Foley.
I’m thinking its more of a thing that they knew the Knockouts division earns the most attention in TNA and brings in high ratings, with Gail Kim being one of the best and more popular women there, she was also very committed to and happy with the company so they payed her an amount which would guarantee her coming in.
When it comes to money, I thought Trish was making 600k and she got a lot of outside projects that brought her the cash too.

and just because she’s getting Trish like money doesn’t mean she’ll get a “Trish push”. WWE drops the ball on many things and I just hope Gail was promised more than just money. They can easily release her from the contract…they have done it before.
But I will say if that does happen I’ll have no problem laughing about it.

I say that they over paid. Sure, RAW would be better with another face diva, but they already have Candice coming back. We already know from our Michelle and Maria experience, that the WWE has a hard time pushing two diva’s at once. This is going to be hard to watch.
