Mickie’s Denial: Skeletons Come Out to Play

Mickie James‘ past came to bite her in the butt today and it was gooooood. The former four time Women’s Champ’s skeletons poured out of her closet and came back to haunt her on live radio this morning; someone send homegirl a supply of padlocks and chain because these are the kind of skeletons she’d rather keep under lock and key. The hosts of InsideSTL, a radio show out of St. Louis, had Mickie as their guest this morning and caught her off guard by bringing up her porn past. And Mickie’s response was legendary! Despite the pictures on the Internet for the whole world to see, I guess Mickie thought if she acted like they don’t exist, people will forget? Nuh-uh!

Oh Lord, where to start?! If there was a gold medal for question-dodging at the Beijing Olympics, Mickie would win Gold. What I love the most is that Mickie, herself, seems to be in denial. “It’s kind of hard to say…” What the f*ck?! You either did it or you didn’t! Unless Mickie suffers from memory loss, I’m pretty sure she’d remember turning up to a set for a pornographic photoshoot and sticking her fingers in her hoo-haa. Memo to Vince: Mickie needs a refresher course in public relations. I would have way more respect for Mickie if she just held her hands up and said, “Look, I did it but it’s in my past and I’ve gone onto have a great career with WWE and I’d prefer to talk about that.” Dodging the question and dancing around the situation makes her look like a complete retard and rightfully so, it’s all her own doing. I guess Mickie caught a case of the Solange virus

    LMAO!

Poor Mickie. Shame. Every other diva to do porn has at least admitted to it and owed up to it.

It’s her past and she should be willing to admit it if she was so comfortable with actually doing it.

Yeah, the pictures were disgusting. I don’t suggest every viewing them. Nothing tops Candice Michelle’s disgusting fetish porn films though. LOL.

Wow. I didn’t expect Mickie to do smething like that. I thought that she would just live up to her past. I wonder what Candice would say if they asked her

“I think we just broke a story here.”
“I can’t imagine you break a story by typing someone’s name into Google.”

    HA!

She handled it fine. She didn’t say she didn’t do it did she? She just asks to move on saying what she did shouldn’t break her or make her.

Wow if she is so unsecure of those pics than why did she even do them? lol Poor mickie.

About time someone brought this up in a interview with her. Those pics (she did at least 3 different sets) were way raunchier than the stuff Candice did. Candice’s fetish stuff was really strange, but at least Candice wasn’t open (literally) for the world to see. I don’t like Candice at all, but Mickie gets a pass on too much stuff.

I understand why she was hesitant. But like Melanie said, she should own up to her past. At least she doesn’t do it anymore.

aww mickie.i agree with everyone saying she should have admitted it but this is what rajah.com reported: Apparently there was a WWE representative listening to the interview and/or with Mickie, hence her “30 seconds guys,” statement as soon as they started talking about looking up Mickie James on the Internet so when she was caught off guard she didn’t really know what to say.bryan you said if she was so insecure why did she do the pics in the first place.i mean she never said she was proud of them. everyone makes mistakes.

I don’t see why everyone thinks she should fess up to what she did. If she doesn’t wanna talk about it, or live up to it because she knows what she did was wrong then that’s totally okay. Its her life. She can try to keep things private whether the pictures are out in the open or not. Its no one else’s buisness.

and I think she handled it like any normal person would when they’re caught off gaurd as she was, and she had a right to wanna move onto the next subject.

I agree, I don’t think that she was in the wrong if she’s uncomfortable talking about her past thats completely up to her and those guys were acting as if it were a harmless question, they knew exactly what they were getting at or else they wouldn’t have brought it up, Mickie has an image now that she would like to maintain so there’s nothing wrong with wanting to distance herself from something she may have simply done for money cause anyone should know that working the indy circuit pays crap especially when your not a big name, but for whatever reason she may have done it for, I still respect her as an in ring performer and this shouldn’t take that away from her

Everyone makes valid points, but in my estimation, she’s on this radio show as a representative of the WWE. Any celeb who does promotional work has to have a certain flare and understanding of how to present and handle themselves. Mickie came across as hesitant and unprofessional and by the sounds of it, left a bad impression with the show’s hosts. She’s there on behalf of the company she’s representing and it’s her job to make it work, as Tim Gunn says. I’m sure other celebs have had way worse questions fired at them, you just gotta handle yourself correctly.

Itt’s way too easy to say things like that when the event has passed. Much like the Candice incedent last year, when half of the people were angry at Beth for holding and dragging Candice by the hair, peoplem see what happens, and have a lot more time to respond online or in a conversation than in a split second like the Superstars did. You see, Mickie is not just answering for herself, but for the WWE. Older fans who are online most of the time know about the photos, but what about the younger ones who love and look up to Mickie? Her reputation has changed so much, and she really is seen as an example to younger females out there. And she didn’t deny it at all. Please prove that she denied it, and your statement / rant on Mickie will have validity.

I’m still Mickie fan,and I knew about that photoshoots. But,I really think she could just answer on that question. When one magazine asked Candice about Hotel Erotica, she explained that.

Wow, certain people really need to give her a break. Look at HBK he did a lot of shit in his past and now that he is religious or whatever I am sure he does not want that brought up either. She doesn’t want to be known for that hence why she doesn’t want to pose for Playboy. What they did was completely unprofessional and even before they asked her she gave them a 30 second warning yet they continued giving her only a few seconds to answer a question that she probably has never been asked in WWE

  • Manda
    September 5, 2008 at 3:08 pm

They bring up HBK’s Playgirl thing all of the time! Whenever somebody’s trying to “get one over on him” they bring it up; I’m just surprised Jericho hasn’t yet. Last time? When DX was feuding with Rated-RKO and he laughed it off and more importantly, gave it the greenlight to go on. And that was on TV.

What’s even worse to Mickie’s case was the fact that representative from WWE didn’t technically give her a chance to respond before saying that they had to move on. So really, we don’t know what else she might’ve said on the subject given the chance.

I don’t think the radio hosts were unprofessional in the least. They were doing their job and they just seemed incredibly giddy that they might’ve “broke a story” that so many people knew already, lol

Just to clarify, it wasn’t Mickie saying “30 seconds guys” and “We have to move on now”, it was the show’s producer.

You know MVP did 9 years in jail for armed robbery. That is not something that is looked upon with reverence in the real world. He has owned up to it, has spoken about it, and has maintained that he changed his life around for the better. If HE isn’t ashamed to admit to a past that most people would frown upon, why can’t these girls admit to their decisions to take skanky pictures ?? Are they ashamed now ?? They obviously got paid to do them, they had done them more than once. Think about it that way folks, it’s the same issue. If a jailbird can talk about past mistakes, the girls should just admit it and move on.

    September 6, 2008 at 4:35 pm

If she dosen’t want to speak about it then she dosen’t have too. Maybe it’s something shes not proud of. It’s a free country and she dosen’t have to freaking talk about it! If that makes you guys loose respect, then shame on you guys! Finally, I will always love Mickie, b/c she rocks.

I agree, I was searching for sigs of her on photobucket and BAM there they are, it’s just whatever, we don’t know her reasons for what she did and it really doesn’t matter, it doesn’t affect who she is today and it doesn’t make her a different person, hearing that clip just annoyed me cause even after she went off the air the reporters kept talking about how they should send it to CNN and this and that, it’s stupid, to them it’s a story but to us it’s like OLD news. I think Mickie’s response is understandable, I mean if I were in her place I would feel embarrassed I mean I know people want a honest Diva and what not, to be able to say “I did it” but it doesn’t take away from the fact that it would be embarrassing and I think that was what she felt and it was a pretty messed up situation to put her in.
