I’ve finally gotten around to recording my own podcast! In it I talk about the differences between the latest Women’s Championship and Divas Championship matches, why SmackDown is better than Raw, and Smackdown Spoilers for this Friday. SD better than RAW? Nope.
Crowd doesn’t care for SD Divas. They were chanted boring, you cannot wrestle, show your tits, etc. At least they get a good reaction on RAW.
RAW just started a new feud this Monday. Noone knows how it will play out yet.
Maryse vs. Michelle hasn’t been that great. Yes, Maryse impressed, but where’s Michelle been? Hell, there’s a title over there? The crowd reaction sure showed no one cares for it.
Michelle winning shows that Michelle/Maryse is OVER. RAW has the new feud now, which means SD is taking a backseat right now.
The SD divas have failed to get over and noone cares for them. The RAW divas are much more over and obviously have the better division.
But we’ll have to see.
I like the SD! girls I just wish there was a lot more emphasis on them as the RAW divas get. I agree michelle isn’t over, yes I love that she’s becoming a great worker but she lacks so much depth and charisma. Her all American girl gimmick does her no justice. if anything its annoying cause we never see her act out or come across as mildly appealing. She’s not naturally sexy, so I think that has a lot do with her not getting over like kelly kelly and layla or how Maryse is working her way up as prominent figure with in the division. She just doesn’t give me that extra something that makes wanna be excited to see her

mike only eva comments to work in somethin about candice. this post isnt even bout candice but he tries to bring up ‘this new feud on raw n thats y raw is better’ because it has candice in it!!! i bet mike has a candice shrine n prays 2 it evry nite!

i luv smackdown divas so much better even though on sunday the crowd was dead i dont care i like smackdown at this point

The last time i was looking foward to seeing raw was when melina/beth feud started….After that everything has been pretty much-crap….
i agree with Tasha, that was an awesome feud. Smackdown diva’s are more enjoyable to watch then Raw divas. I also think with the draft more diva’s needed to be switched up. They need a huge switch up to spicen things up
It is pretty obteuse to believe that SD is better than Raw.
Having Michelle, Maria, Bella as the faces is a lousy situation.
Michelle has been pushed like superwoman for a good year and the fans have crapped on her. She doesen’t have charisma, her packaging is all over the place, and the Undertaker relationship is a big turn off.
Maria had 4 years on Raw and left Raw as a total jobber. After getting an overpush when moving to SD she is right back to jobbing. She basically got to a point where she can work a low difficulty match without screwing up too bad. Thats her plateau.
Bellas are a low level gimmick. As singles they have no real worth and its kinda hard to just push one.
- The crowd completely crapped on Michelle winning the diva belt.
- The crowd completely crapped on the match with Maryse at Unforgiven.
- And all the live reports say the crowd is completely dead for the 6 diva tag that features these top three faces.
As for the heels. Natalya is great but she is being buried for standing up to Michelle. Just a furthur way Michelle is ruining the division.
Maryse is OK but has no real heel credibility and is kinda like Layla. Fans overxaggerte her abilities because of low degree of difficulty.
Victoria is a complete jobber now.
I agree with Erin on this one, SmackDown has been better than Raw for a long while now. But before I get into that, I just want to point out that I think NEITHER brand is where they could be. Lousy booking is affecting both brands but Raw more so than SmackDown.
Over on SmackDown, at least they’re getting some semblence of a storyline across with Michelle-Natalya then Michelle-Maryse. The booking was crap, but it was attempted. The work on SmackDown has been of a consistent rate (minus a few Maria matches), the girls on this brand work just as hard as the Raw Divas and they should be proud. For some reason, I find myself more endeared to the SmackDown Divas roster because it feels more close-knit, than just a bunch of girls thrown together. Possibly because we’ve seen this division grow before our very eyes?
And what I love the most about SmackDown is that they at least try to get every girl over, all six of the Divas in this Friday’s match have been used in prominent roles on television. They all appear and wrestle on a regular basis. Whereas over on Raw, you may not be seen or heard from for months at a time like Jillian.
SmackDown isn’t perfect, but for me, it’s far more entertaining than Raw right now and has been for many months. I know what I’m getting, six Divas who I like (well 5 more than one of them, you can guess who) and I always look forward to Friday nights.
And in my most honest opinion, because this may come across mean to some of the commenters. It kinda irks me when people get hung up on crowd reaction, I think it’s a cop-out excuse to explain why you don’t like someone or a brand. I couldn’t give two hoots about whether the crowd is dead or alive, is it taking away from my enjoyment of the match? Not one bit. I’m not a follower, I don’t go by crowd reactions. I judge on my own merit, based on what I see in the ring. Maryse and Michelle had a great match without any crowd reaction, does that mean their match was bad? No it doesn’t. It’s a cop out excuse to be honest.
The business is about drawing and getting over, not getting star ratings from smarks on message boards.
The face divas on sd are too weak of a group. And Michelles stroke is hurting things.
Natalya- buried. Victoria-jobber. Maryse- was a total jobber up until two weeks ago and now we are supposed to see her as credible.
If I’m a ‘smark on a message board’, why are you on here?
