Welcome to the YouTube Classics! The recent rash of TNA departures (Gail Kim, Salinas..) this week’s theme will be “Dearly Departed”, reflecting on some memorable last moments. Today, we have Lita’s last match from Survivor Series 2006. Compared to rival Trish Stratus, Lita’s WWE farewell was far from pleasant. Lita took on Mickie James, but the real story was after the match, which served to give Lita a less-than-loving sendoff:

I was very sad to watch this match. Seems like WWE showed no appreciation towrads Lita whatsoever including the WWE fans
I agree with you, Crystal. To see Lita utterly disrespected was horrible. Trish got nothing but fanfare and adoration upon her retirment and gets this. This is yet another example of what happens when fans pay more attention to u rpersonal than ur ringwork
I was never a big fan of Lita’s and never will be and I also wasn’t really watching wrestling at the time of her departure. All the same, when I actually bothered to watch this match I was really just shocked and disgusted. Like her or not, she gave a lot to the company and was easily one of the biggest draws of the diva division. To see ANYONE treated like that is disgusting, but to be treated that way when she gave them so much is just pathetic. Even I half-wish she could make some kind of comeback just to right that wrong. Jesus…
I never watched the end of this match until recently as being a massive Lita fan I didn’t want to see it. Its disgusting. I wish she’d told WWE to fuck off on that occasion and just left. Why those fans couldn’t have kept their ‘thank you’ sign either is just pathetic.

Lita is the shit, she’s just incredible.
She was awesome in WWF.
I miss her so much, and she still gives me goosebumps to this day.
I hope one day I can achieve as much as her in Pro-Wrestling.
