Well I guess we could have figured this out by deduction after Melina retured to Raw last night, but Mike Johnson of PWInsider has confirmed that Gail Kim is heading to SmackDown. As we mentioned yesterday, Gail has been travelling with WWE for the past week and Johnson reports that she has shot promotional footage and photographs for her new WWE run. Word is Gail could return as soon as tonight’s SmackDown tapings which is a double-header, filming for this week and next week.
With Michelle McCool‘s questionable behaviour on SmackDown of late teasing a heel turn, it looks like Gail could slot nicely in as the new top face for the blue brand. I’m certainly excited to see Gail face off against McCool, Maryse, Victoria and most of all, Natalya! It’s rumoured that Gail is dating Nattie’s uncle, Hall of Famer Bret Hart. I think Gail joining SmackDown is just further proof of of how dominant the blue brand’s Divas division has been over Raw’s women’s division this past year.
And how about this little golden nugget: Gail’s presence on SmackDown means that she could be the first woman in history to hold the Women’s, Divas and Knockouts Championships.

GREAT NEWS … all of us are abuzz over on Gail’s official Forum. Looks to be true and a winner this time. Just posted a photo of Gail Kim with a fan in Boston at WWE’s hotel. Sure she is in Albany. Now for a good nights sleep after this 93 day wait. Congratulations Gail Kim, WWE and all of us.

This just in and totally random: In a dark match at tonight’s Smackdown taping DH Smith and TJ Wilson debuted with Natalya as their manager. They’re being called ‘The Foundation’, obviously after The Hart Foundation to which they all have ties. This was how Natalya was originally supposed to debut before her cousin, Teddy Hart, screwed it up for them. I have a feeling we won’t be seeing much of Natalya in the ring anymore. :(
It’s not like they were using her all that well in the ring anyway. I’d rather see her get a good storyline as a manager rather than have her continue to job week in and week out. The jobbing path leads to release usually so yeah….
WWE doesn’t have nearly enough managers anymore. They’ve got so many Divas that they don’t do anything with they’d be well served to pair them up with some of the guys. They can do that and still wrestle in their respective divisions…like Lita did.

Someone pointed out (other than Mike johnson himself) on another source that Gail Kim was in Boston over the weekend staying at the same hotel as the WWE wrestlers, she was seen at Kowloon restaurant in Boston eating with them by two of her fans, and she was backstage at both Raw live, and the Smackdown tapings … BUT … that she was simply doing this as she has friends in the business and has NOT joined the WWE ranks.
I will believe that she is with WWE when she struts down that WWE ramp and climbs into a WWE ring, and in the meantime I hope that Gail Kim is having a wonderful time with her friends both in and out of professional wrestling. After 94 days of waiting the wait still continues.
Considering how WWE didn’t even want any of it’s wrestlers/divas hanging out at all with any TNA stars during the pre-Wrestlemania 24 time last year I highly doubt they’d let Gail tag along on the road to a weeks worth of events including being in the backstage area two maybe three times in one week if she wasn’t signed. Yes she’s technically a free agent but they know if she hasn’t signed with them she’s going to end up back in TNA so I doubt they’d let her be around that much unless she’s at least given them some sign that she’s going to sign with them.
I still think they’re holding off her debut until Christian makes his decision. I don’t think they’d be paired up long-term but both of them (big TNA Stars) returning at the same time would double the impact…
