The comeback tour rolls on for the A-List Diva, Melina. Hot off the heels of her showstopping return last week, WWE.com has now announced that the former Women’s Champion will take on her ex-BFF, Jillian on Raw tonight. Squash match, anyone?
Although we can all predict the outcome, it’s nice to see WWE keeping things strong for Melina by promoting her match in advance. It looks like she will be the next face Diva to get a push on Raw, I wouldn’t count out her challenging Beth Phoenix for the Women’s Championship at Armageddon.

Melina in singles action doesn’t mean she’ll be getting a push. They’re obviously not gonna leave her off of tv after JUST bringing her back.
This could be a way to get her in the title hunt, but we’ll have to see.
Like Mike said this match is to bring her into the title hunt…
and if im not mistaken i think its Smackdowns turn to get a Divas Championsip match at a PPv rite?

@Luis, I said it could e. I’m like the only person who thinks WWE won’t be pushing a Melina/Beth feud, lol.
They’re gonna use Melina since they just brought her back. Nothing could always come out of this match or they could use this to push something else. One would have to assume that Jillian would lose and I would hope WWE wouldn’t have to start announcing to us when Jillian would lose. Maybe Beth will cost Melina the match and Kelly or Candice or someone comes down to help Melina, which could set up something completely different.
When WWE announced the Kelly/Beth matches we all thought Kelly would lose but we see what happened, lol.
This could be a really good match, and I hope it’s not just a total squash match. Even if it is, at least Jillian is getting into singles competition…right?

I definitely see Melina getting a title shot after tonight. Her winning the actual match, I highly doubt TBH. Am I the only one who thinks Melina’s push is going JUST like Candice’s? Returns in tag match, wins tag match, jobs out Jillian, get’s a title shot and most likely ends up losing it.
But yeah, I don’t know. I like Melina, but I cannot see WWE handing her the title. They could, I see Melina’s mini-return push going down like they usually do.
Yes Mike, but the differance is that Melina hasn’t botched her way through her matches, which is why Candice’s push was de-railed.
Hopefully WWE drag this through through to Mania where Melina gets her Wrestlemania moment winning the belt at the biggest show of the year.
