SmackDown spoilers for Friday night below:

Maryse def. Maria to become the new #1 Contender for the Divas Championship. Michelle McCool was at ringside. Maryse pinned Maria after hitting her DDT and afterwards got in Michelle’s face.

    Cool..Maryse for the new diva’s champ…I am sooo happy…my two smackdown’s favorite divas in action, I hope that Maryse become champ because she improves a lot, and she proves us that she is a good wrestler, with great moves…I support all of two, and let us see what happend in the next weeks.

    Hopefully this means that when Michelle loses her title it’ll be to Maryse and not Maria… I don’t hate Maria although she is one my least favourite Divas but if she was to take the title from Michelle (who is one of my favourites) I would boycott Smackdown! for a while =/. Maryse has proven herself in the ring, also she and Michelle always tend to have good matches and it seems to me like Maria needs someone good to carry her to a decent match.

    and Maryse is the new #1 contender =]
    hopefully she will win the title.
    but down the road i think Maria as champion woudnt be taht bad =D

    i agree
    michelle as champ was one of the biggest mistakes wwe have made
    lets hope they fix this and give to maryse
