9. TAYLOR WILDE
What a year it was for rookie, Taylor Wilde in 2008. Beginning the year with her dreams shattered after being dropped from her development deal with WWE, but by May 2008 her troubles were over…

Taylor joined TNA and over the summer of ’08, she became the company’s fastest rising star. Taylor was initially pushed into a programme with Awesome Kong which saw her becoming the third TNA Knockout Champion and winning a $25,000 cash prize by pinning the dominant Knockout.

Since toppling TNA’s biggest monster, Taylor battled and overcame the Beautiful People before finally dropping the title back to Kong. Not bad for a rookie year!

Check back tomorrow for #8

  1. its a shame.
if the creative team would have put a little bit more effort into it.
    she could have been big.
but then again shes still pretty kool =]

  2. I think the fact that she wasn’t so popular with the crowd is that TNA pushed her way too quick

  3. I gotta hand it to Taylor she did have one heckk of a year in TNA. But I really think TNA pushed her way too much and shes just boring now.

  4. I thought Taylor would have been higher. Many people have called her the TNA’s version of Michelle McCool. She’s a good wrestler but her character is pretty boring.

I thought she was great when she debuted using the Kong Invitational. Though I found it weird that she came in as a fan and in her second match against Saeed to get a shot at Kong, they gave her music. That was just a bit stupid by TNA. Though I will say this if you guys put Maria in front of Taylor then that is stupid because Taylor is a far more better wrestler then Maria

  5. It was the Gail Kim effect. By this I mean, what’s happened to Taylor in TNA happened to Gail in WWE in her first stint.
