5. MICKIE JAMES
Unless your name is Trish Stratus or Lita, four Women’s Championship plus is more than any Diva could wish for in this day and age. But Mickie James joined the ranks of the future Hall of Famers aforementioned, when she scored her fourth title reign in April 2008.
Mickie’s shock win in London, England ended Beth Phoenix’s reign however the Glamazon would pick up the title once again just four months later. Their feud took up the early part of the year, until Mickie locked horns with newcomer, Katie Lea over the summer.
Mickie’s unfading popularity proves that she is the most popular Diva in WWE today, despite taking a backseat to others in the past year or so.

I thought she should’ve been higher because she’s basically carried the Divas roster, especially with being the most popular and with Melina’s injury, she really carried it.

yeah but i think maryse, michelle kong and beth will be the top four on that order.

I actually thought she was going to be higher, too. She did carry Raw’s Women’s Division for a good portion of the year.

According to several fans in attendance at tonight’s SmackDown brand house show in Raleigh, North Carolina
, reigning WWE Divas Champion Maryse suffered a traumatic injury
during her match.
Maryse and Natalya were wrestling The Bella Twins in the third match on the show. As Maryse worked one of the twins over in the corner, she suddenly crumpled down to the mat. She appeared to have blown out her knee.
What followed was an awkward scene in which Natalya stood on the apron not knowing what to do while The Bella Twins went around the ring playing up to the crowd. Special guest referee Kung Fu Naki stood over Maryse talking to her. The road agent for the match threw up the “X signal” and a number EMTs, referees and road agents hit the ringside area. Meanwhile, Natalya entered the ring and made one of the twins submit to the sharpshooter to put an end to the match. Maryse was then carted off on a stretcher.
This is a horrible break for Maryse as she beat Michelle McCool just last week to become the new WWE Divas Champion. It goes without saying that she’ll be forced to relinquish her newly won title and take several months off due to the injury as well

Mickie basically was the glue to the Divas roster in early and mid 08 before she became boring.

I thought Mickie would have been higher. Not only is she the most popular diva in the WWE but she is also one of the best wrestlers in the company. Now we just need to see be moved to Smackdown so she can rival with Natalya & Gail

I’m glad Mickie’s on this list and I think she fully deserves this spot on the list =]. As I’m sure everyone knows, not only was she Women’s Champion but she’s also one of the most popular if not thee most popular Diva in the WWE right now :D and there is no denying that she’s one of the better women’s wrestlers in the WWE today.
Like dan333 said I’d love to see her moved to Smackdown so that she can rival people like Natalya and Gail =].
