Welcome to the Perfect 10 of 2008, the countdown that highlights Diva Dirt‘s ten top Divas and Knockouts of ’08! Which Divas/Knockouts have made the biggest impact? From champions to talented wrestlers to big personalities, the Perfect 10 has them all!
1. MICHELLE MCCOOL
Despite four years on WWE’s books, 2008 was the year Michelle McCool truly arrived. She became the top Diva of Friday nights, helped launch a brand new women’s division and became the first ever Divas Champion.
Michelle kicked off 2008 involved in a bitter love triangle between Chuck Palumbo and Jamie Noble, considered just another blonde in the WWE Universe. But by 2008′s end, Michelle proved her worth as a wrestler and became one of WWE’s top Divas. It all began when Michelle won SmackDown’s “Top Diva” contest in April, from there the show launched it’s own women’s division and title.
The Great American Bash proved to be Michelle’s crowning moment, when she became the first ever Divas Champion. Battling many for the title, Michelle’s rivals included Natalya, Maryse and Maria.
The final months of 2008 peeled new layers to Michelle. 2009 is set to see a darker new side to the now former Divas Champ.

Yeeey! Michelle Totally deserved that #1. Spot!
=]
I think she should have been number two, but she did have quite a year. She is still my least favorite diva on the roster though.
She deserves #1
I have to respectfully disagree with this placement. Yes she’s improved a lot and was the first ever Divas Champion but to put her over Kong who basically *is* the Knockout Division over on TNA or over Beth who was Women’s Champion twice this year and consistently been seen in a prominent place on Raw since winning it the second time (sometimes being seen three times in and episode and mixing it up with the Big Boys on several occasions) just doesn’t fly with me.
definitely #2 gotta go with Beth for #1
Haha, to say I disagree would be an understatement. Michelle has improved greatly this year, but did not cover half as much ground as Beth did nor make anywhere near the impact. She has not even started to show any kind of personality until the very end of the year here with her heel turn which many are split on whether it’s even going all that well. She may be the first Divas Champion, but it’s a belt which really hasn’t been spotlighted whereas even when Beth hasn’t defended the title on a show, she has always been featured as part of Glamarella. I know you guys love Michelle, and obviously this list is just your opinion, but… I must respectfully say
lol no
I would also have put Michelle at #2. But, it could be much worse than Michelle.
i agree this year we have seen michelle shine and lets hope that divas who are in wwe who aren’t the best of wrestlers have a good year improving in 2009. id like to see more of natalya and victoria on smackdown and see maria improve alot.
i dont think the bellas will last the year sorry bella fans they are better in fcw
Since December last year she’s been better. But I think she’ll be #1 for 2009.
