I know we don’t post enough about the TNA Knockouts, so I thought I’d fill the gap and post about them. On the January 15th, 2009 edition of TNA iMPACT! Taylor Wilde took another shot at the divas, in a promo-segment. I know this is somewhat old news, but for those who didn’t see it, Taylor came out with Roxxi and announced that the Sarah Palin angle was set up to punk the Beautiful People. While she is talking to the Beautiful People she suddenly breaks character and compares them to the Divas, this just makes Taylor lose credibility, and makes her appear bitchy. It seems TNA cannot hesitate to bash the Divas, and will just throw it in any Knockout segment. To be a Knockout do you have to bash the Divas?
I honestly do not believe that Taylor would intentionally want to take a shot at the Divas. TNA really needs to stop disrespecting them, it just makes their division more and more overrated when they fail to deliver a match which is better quality than recent Divas matches and makes them more hypocritical. I think that both companies should respect each others divisions rather than bash them. TNA is getting a bad reputation. It’s time to stop.

I did see the segment in question and it kinda pissed me off for a few reasons.
First off, I appreciate what TNA does with their female athletes but this bashing has to stop. We understand that your girls are hardcore, but prove through quality matches and characters not smack talking.
Secondly, its extremely hypocritical. A few years ago when WWE’s women’s division was in its prime, TNA had their girls dancing in cages! Now that’s trashy. You couldn’t find a women’s match on TNA with a microscope until a few years ago.
Lastly, half the Knockouts Roster is WWE’s sloppy seconds. Angelina, Rhaka, Jackie, Taylor and Christy (I’m probably missing a few) were all contract to WWE at one. If not they were having tryouts. (Velvet, Raisha) It’s just coming off like they’re bitter.
I know they are trying to make a name for themselves, but they really gotta find a better way.
It’s not just the Knockouts that do this this trash talking is all over TNA as a whole or at least it was the last time I watched a couple of months ago. It was one of the main reasons I stopped along with the storylines being BORING. I still laugh remembering one episode before I stopped watching where they mentioned Vince like ten times in one episode. Way to give the competition free publicity their guys…I’m sure Vince was really shaking in his expensive loafers. Shaking with laughter is more like it…if he gave it any notice at all.
It really does need to stop. It makes the girls look incredibly petty, catty and obnoxious every time they open their mouth and these things come out. Christy especially needs to keep her mouth shut, does she really think she would have gotten as far as she did in the industry without the help of the Diva Search and WWE…probably unlikely.
It’s extra annoying because they don’t need it. The majority of them have the Divas beat hands down in terms of talent and experience. They should be letting that shine and showing by example that they’re the better roster of women not filling the air with snide comments.
And a word of advice to the Knockouts…if you really hope to someday make the jump to WWE (and don’t try to pretend that you don’t all secretly hope that it might happen no matter what words you say) talking trash about the company is not going to help you with that goal…none of you (besides maybe Awesome Kong) are as popular as Gail was so…yeah…
Ok the comment she made about fake boobs? Totally hypocritical b/c didn’t she get her enhancement after getting “dumped” by WWE?
All this Diva/Knockout bashing needs to stop period.

Kinda lame to have a blonde make a blonde crack, but Shantelle, nor TNA, has never been accused of being the sharpest crayon in the box. Going to be funny to see these same “talented” girls kissing ass for a job once TNA goes under. Let’s face it, they are getting heat from Spike TV for low ratings, it’s only a matter of time before they start to slowly disappear.. When TNA gets a “Knockout” that can hold my interest over someone like Mickie (who they failed to make a big star like Vince did), Kelly, Melina, or Maryse; then I may actually not consider these ladies something more then a pathetic bunch of best endeavours.
i like the knockouts because they’re great wrestlers (some of them) but the bashing needs to stop.obviously the divas aren’t concerned cause they haven’t replied since it started.if the knockouts spent more time focusing on their women’s division rather than criticizing the divas, they’d be alot better off.

The divas never potshot them, WWE doesn’t even care for the knockouts at all. So basically TNA is wasting air time to pot shot…EVERY SINGLE SHOW ON EVERY SINGLE THING RELATED TO WWE

Playing Devil’s Advocate here though, as much as they bash the Divas, they do deliver a nasty ass-kicking and I think that was made pretty obvious the very next week when Angelina and Velvet attacked “Sarah Palin” backstage. Any diva trying to do the whole attack thing (Michelle, Maria, etc.) would do best to watch this video and learn a little something from these girls.

Anyways honestly who still finds the knockout division to be the beloved Gem is USE to be? The sad truth is that it’s lost it’s initial appeal, no longer are they fun to watch. As much as you push the idea of Women not having to be super attractive to be talented it’s kinda not true anymore. I hate to say it but now a days fans want the looks and abilities on the same menu. If you ask me the Divas are doing pretty good right now, minus a few untalented girls WWE is doing a fine in my Book.
Sorry but TNA cannot afford to bash WWE at the moment, The fact is the Knockout Division has been lacking since Gail left. WWE have a great division especially with Melina’s return. I mean we had a great match at the Rumble with Melina & Beth. They have great talent with Kelly, Layla, Katie, Alica etc. TNA need to think things through. They cannot afford this especially that they are losing viewers. I mean I for one have not bothered watching TNA since Bound for Glory. I only watch the bits and pieces on the net and even then I’m bored of it. So TNA need to think things through before they take shots at WWE as the WWE Divas can back themselves up.
Taylor was my fav tna knckout anf hearing her dis the wwe made me lose loads of respect in her.

Yeah this is kinda old news, but I enjoyed the read however.
The TNA Knockouts (as well as the TNA Superstars) are very talented however their little potshots towards WWE are so annoying. Especially considering the fact that over half their roster consists of WWE rejects. They just need to quit with the bashing and keep to themselves. I don’t know why they have to keep bashing WWE. If they are bashing WWE to show off, and make them look superior or whatever, it is definately not working. If you want to make yourself look good, you can do that in the ring. Not on the microphone bashing another wrestling company.
Also Manda, now that you have metioned it, I absolutely LOVED that segment with the Beautiful People and the Governor. That was probably the most brutal beating by women wrestlers EVER!

That beatdown was awesome! And kudos to Velvet. I didn’t know she had in her. I know that this is not the case but its almost like this is TNA answer to last Friday Maria debacle. Like they were saying ‘This is how its done bitches!’
I’m getting really tired of TNA by now…I first watched it because of Salinas (miss her) but now I don’t even watch it, the whole roster is messed up, Christy Hemme sucks inside and outside the ring, Taylor is terrible too…If it wasn’t for TBP and Awesome Kong, TNA would have the worst female roster EVER!!
