Little known FCW Diva, Saylor James – real name Catalina White – has reportedly been released by WWE over tattoos.
Word is that the Florida native who was a model prior to joining WWE, was let go after she had some work done without permission. Say what?! What’s next, needing permission to get married?
White joined the company in October last year and competed in the Queen of FCW tournament which was eventually won by Angela Fong.

It’s douchey, but a part of being a wrestler nowadays is about the image they want you to portray and so stuff like tattoos, haircut, and so on do sort of become their business to a degree. It comes a lot (IMO) as the sport becomes more about characters and stories than actual wrestling ability or matches. Is that a lot of control? Sure, but this is a business and everyone is replaceable. You have to play by their rules, even the stupid ones. This tattoo idea is one of the reasons Patrick Brink, a former FCW wrestler, alleges he was recently cut by WWE. I guess they’re really cracking down on these rules for the roster as they look for places to cut costs?
Hopefully it was a damn good tattoo. :P
This isn’t any different then any other entertainment form out there. If you’er an actor or actress on TV or on the stage you have a certain look that you’re known for. If you want to change that look…even if its a small thing like getting highlights you need to get permission before you do so and doing it without permission can have consequences. Now if you’re the lead in the show its doubtful that you’re going to get fired over it but if you’re a bit part that’s only been around for a few months…most likely you’re gone.
This was a very stupid move on her part she was a recent hire and very low on the totem pole to do something you were told you needed permission for (and most likely would have gotten if you’d asked first) when they’re just looking for excuses to cut costs and the easiest way to do that is to not have to pay someone every week….not smart not smart at all.
wow.i wonder what it was?
