Speculation over those taking part in WrestleMania 25′s big 25-Diva “Miss WrestleMania” Battle Royal has been coming in hot and heavy in the past few days, so it’s understandable if you (like me) have gotten a little lost along the way. Thus, I’ve deemed it necessary to draw up a chart discerning those former Divas confirmed to take part, those definitely not attending, and those who we know have been contacted. Think of it as “WrestleMania 25 Speculation for Dummies”:

Does anyone listen to me? Man I have said it before and I’ll say it again. Vince dosen’t want to reveal who is going to be there and so is dropping red herrings.

I’d say that Trish will most likely be involved because there was talk of her being involved in WM before this whole Diva Battle Royal idea even came up. My guess is they came up with it mostly as a way to get her to agree to do the PPV because she didn’t want to do the proposed match against Michelle and they didn’t want to do Trish/Beth or Trish/Natalya and they REALLY wanted Trish at this event and thus the Battle Royal idea was born as a way to keep everyone happy (Trish can work against Beth and Natalya and Michelle gets her spot at the PPV). I just don’t think it’s been officially reported because it was already being talked about before hand and most people probably feel it’s a given at this time.
Plus they get to add Sunny into the mix as well. I honestly don’t think they care who else they have there as long as they have Trish and Sunny they’re happy.
And I think that you should move Jackie to the yes side of things because why would she claim that she was contacted if she wasn’t she’s not going to lie about that because it could get Charlie in trouble. And she expanded in another comment that she was afraid that they were calling to fire Charlie when they called to ask her to participate. Again why would she say that if it wasn’t true she doesn’t strike me as the lying type and there would be no need for her to do so. True she didn’t say she’d said yes but it definitely sounded that way to me.
The lack of news either way on Victoria is rather strange she’s a chatty person so it makes me wonder if they’ve told her to keep it under wraps either way and it makes me wonder who else they might have talked to that they put a be-quiet-or-else tag attached. Maybe the people that have already declined aren’t red herrings but I would be willing to bet that anyone they’ve contacted after a certain part has been an incredibly hush hush process.
Also I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mae and Molly appear on the PPV in some fashion just not in a wrestling fashion. Molly will be there for the weekend events and Mae is always there. I can see both showing up on the program even if it’s just as a quick cameo.

As I wrote in another post regarding the whole “red herring conspiracy”:
“When reports came out that Vince and WWE head writers and stuff were getting upset about PPV information and storylines getting leaked, I don’t think the divas are what they had in mind, personally. With Orton v Triple H and Taker v HBK and a MITB match to plan out and a Hardy feud building up… I hardly doubt their priorities are lying with not leaking what divas are going to be in this match.”
Wrestlemania has never been a “diva-friendly” pay-per-view. The matches always seem lackluster, thrown together at the last minute with no real thought put into it and instead of having a Champion vs Champion match, or even a Raw vs SD SS-type match, they put together this debacle at the last minute because it sounded “cool” on paper, but now so much now when you actually think about it. 25 divas in the ring at the same time? One big mess that will last maybe ten minutes? How much are you actually going to even see of your favorite diva?
Who knows, maybe a lot of them either A) saw ‘The Wrestler or B) have been taking Jericho’s recent promos to heart and don’t want to keep coming back for that “one last moment of glory”.
Totally just my thoughts, however.
I’m totally with Manda. I’ve said from day one, the creative team or management doesn’t care enough about the Divas to book them solidly or shroud them in mystery with ‘red herrings’. This match is simply filler. But if you wanna believe they have a grand design for this match, go ahead.
That said, I’d be really surprised if Victoria didn’t show up. Although there’s been no report about her, I get the feeling she’s going to be there.

Terri “Tori” Poch, former kayfabe girlfriend of Kane and X-Pac and an ally of DX, has been contacted. Poch last worked for WWE as a trainer on the first season of Tough Enough. Since then, she has retired from wrestling and has become a yoga instructor. It’s unknown if she’ll accept, but she has no heat with WWE so there doesn’t seem to be a reason not to.
Luna Vachon has been contacted as well. Vachon is semi-retired from wrestling, as revealed on a version of “Where are they now?” on WWE.com. Vachon’s willingness to do the WWE.com stuff indicates that she’ll probably participate as well.
The Tori invite so excites me. Not because I particularly miss Tori, but Ivory might have been invited too! ivory was never the most popular, but she had a lot more fans/accolades than Tori.
I think Vince cares enough about Mania to go psycho even about the divas. The man sees it as his personal business baby and hates ANY info getting out before the show apparently.
At this point with all the no’s and perhap’s I would not be surprised to see the WWE either cancel this entirely or change it at the last minute. The programs airing the final week before the event shouild confirm who’s appearing if they are a big name aka Trish or Victoria. My other feeling is that the WWE could be using this as a cover for a Trish-Beth-Michelle-Melina and ??? match. Assuming they actually manage to get 25 divas, I can easily see everyone else clearing out and leaving them in the ring.
As for Trish not wanting to go up against Michelle, i can see where she feels she would have a better match against Beth or Melina. But. from a wrestling standpoint it’s one I would like to see. Trish is the standard Michelle has said she compares herself against. Trish has been acknowledged as one of the best women wrestlers of the modern era. Why wouldn’t someone one like Michelle want to proove herself against the best?
I think it would be sick to see Luna in this match. I def. think Victoria and Trish will be competing in it also..and as much as i wish this doesn’t happen..i can also see Ashley in this match which would truly suck but it can happen..i would also be pumped if Chyna was in this but i know im just dreaming haha
