Last week we all rejoiced at the announcement of an all-Divas special of ECW tonight. Lats night, our hopes were dashed as the show was taped without nary a mention of the proposed Divas special. The past 24 hours have been confusing to say the least…
Well now maybe we can offer a little explanation. Word has it that Vince McMahon himself was behind the axe of the ECW Divas Night as he “didn’t see the point.” Meanwhile, it was Stephanie McMahon that pushed for the special to take place.
Say what you will about Steph, her and her husband may be poison to the business or they may be saints, but never let it be said that Stephanie isn’t a supporter of the Divas. A number of past Divas have praised Steph for wanting to promote a strong vision of women on WWE television. The key word there being wanting, as we all know from the abundance of Bra & Panties matches and Lingerie Pillowfights in the past, that strong vision has never really come to fruition.

damn if Steph was like truly in charge thing would be a lot different.
Luis-Angel, I 100% agree because Vince obviously dosn’t know what we want to see!!!!
Hopefully, Stephinie McMahon would own the company soon!!!!!!
Wow, really? I’ve read Steph was the one who backed Vince’s old views of T&A = ratings the most out of anyone.
Vince, WWE in a MESS, not just the Divas

More Issues with Vince and WWE’s Creative Team, John Cena News

- John Cena is also scheduled to be on Jimmy Fallon’s NBC late-night show tonight, in addition to the appearance on G4’s Attack of the Show. It’s almost like WWE is putting more focus on 12 Rounds right now than WrestleMania 25, the biggest event of the year. During some of these media interviews for 12 Rounds, Cena isn’t even mentioning WrestleMania.
- It’s WrestleMania time and the drama within WWE is still running wild. Vince McMahon has flipped out more recently including blown gaskets regarding the buzz for the Chris Jericho WrestleMania match and then scrapping the all-Divas ECW special. Vince lost his mind when the 1.9 SmackDown rating from two weeks ago came in and has been saying one of his goals for the WWE Draft is to make RAW better.
There’s a feeling in WWE that considering how thick the SmackDown roster is right now plus appearances by RAW talents, a 1.9 rating is pretty embarrassing. Vince has been name-dropping Bruce Prichard lately as a possible addition to the SmackDown writing team to help Michael Hayes. The head of WWE creative, Stephanie McMahon, hates Prichard and blows Vince off every time he brings the name up. Of course, in the end, if Vince wants Prichard back then he will have him back. We reported last year that Prichard was done with WWE but technically he is still under contract until June. It’s also known that Jeff Jarrett has brought Prichard up in TNA meetings so as June gets closer, Vince might change his mind on letting go of Prichard.
Hmmm something interesting…
After this week’s ECW on Sci Fi, ECW General Manager Theodore Long told his assistant, Tiffany, to submit a proposal for her brilliant idea – an all-Divas episode of ECW. Then, fellow Divas Alicia Fox, Katie Lea Burchill and Natalya offered Tiffany plenty of ideas for the episode.

Things just got confusingggg… xD
So I guess it is happening now.
Vince needs to give the company to shane or stephanie, or at least give control of the divas to stephanie so if these reports are true, she can do something with the divas!
