With this week being dubbed WrestleMania Week by us here at Diva Dirt, we will be offering you many WrestleMania-themed features over the course of the next few days. With this feature, Blast From the Past, we’ll be looking back at memorable WrestleMania matches from the event’s storied history.

Today, we have a mixed tag team match from the fourteenth WrestleMania:

WRESTLEMANIA XIV: Marc Mero & Sable vs. Goldust & Luna

    I was just watching this today LOL
    The tension between Sable and Luna was crazy and this was when the audience got excited when the women were tagged in {shocker!!}
    LOL totally agree with Erwin!

    This is what a proper divas feud should have!

    Luna and Sables build up to this match lasted a good couple of months of different segments before this match, Divas no longer get time to build up a feud with each other, ok so they try to put it across oh Maryse hates Michelle etc but we see no backstage segements with them no run ins and more importantly no actually storyline. Sable and Luna had this and this is why the match was so eagerly anticipated. The match was cleverly worked ie Sable and Luna not actually wrestling till the 3rd tag. This is still my favourite Wrestlemania match featuring women! At Wrestlemania 14 all the titles were on the line and all of them had storylines to go along with the feud, where is this in todays wwe apart from angles involving either a McMahon or Vickie Guerrero?
