If for some odd reason you didn’t know by now, the highly anticipated 25 Divas Battle Royal at WrestleMania was turned into a complete fluke, and a mockery to us Diva fans. Here at Diva Dirt we work our tails off in support of the Divas, and in return we get that excuse of a match at WrestleMania. The “Legends” in the match turned out to be Miss Jackie, Sunny, Torrie Wilson, Victoria, Joy Giovanni, and Molly Holly, yet a huge majority of Diva fans, myself included, never even saw them. I saw the back of Torrie’s head when she was thrown out the ring and laying on the floor. There was not a suitable entrance, there was not even a ring announcer to introduce the Divas. What could’ve been a great match turned out to be a huge mess and a disgrace to Diva fans. WWE clearly could care less; first they send out threatening e-mails to fansites and then they try to get away with a match like that. I can’t wait to see how much fun of the this match TNA is going to make.

Enough is enough, I say. So what can you do? Well, your options are limited, but there is something. Voice your opinions. Don’t stay quiet. I’m not saying write to WWE Corporate Headquarters at 1241 East Main Street, Stamford, CT 06902. Nor am I saying to call them at (203) 352-8600, but if you did want to, by all means go for it. This information is all on WWE.com and they encourage fans to voice their feedback. Why should Diva fans stay quiet? Randy Orton staring into a camera in a backstage segment and walking to the ring got more air time and Creative thought than the Divas match, and it is unacceptable if you ask me.

I think the best thing for us to do is simply go to this link and fill out this form. It is a feedback form, and all you have to do is enter the event (WrestleMania 25, Divas Battle Royal) and some basic information so they know you aren’t a robot, then give them a piece of your mind! From what I’ve seen around the Internet, there is an army of Diva fans already doing this and flooding WWE’s Inbox with their disapproval of how the Divas division is going, how little time they get, and just how bad this match was. I think Diva Dirt has some of the best Diva fans, so I encourage you all to follow suit and voice your opinions. Every e-mail counts!

  1. Heyy mann, I really like this, and to quote School Of Rock, “I like the delivery. I felt your anger.”
I love that movie. -huggles School Of Rock DVD-

The link’s broken, btw. Fix it and I promise I’ll email ASAP (:

  2. Fixed the link. :)

  3. Sorry, but I don’t think that it’s much of a ‘BIG DEAL’ that you need to send WWE threats and hate mail. I really don’t. And I have a bone to pick with those that do… so excuse me now; I’m going to unwind here on Diva Dirt and drop grenades, lol.

You have 25 Divas… think about it. How is it even POSSIBLE for a match with such a large amount of talent involved bound to be a ‘GREAT’ as you put it. Do you really think that everyone would have been able to pull off a spot? That everyone would have been able to have had their Clark Gable close up? Think realistically and logically. The answer is no.

In a nut shell, this was WWE’s way of putting EVERY single Diva on the card, minus the injury-prone Candice Michelle, and even she had a cameo. They all got to participate and they’re all going to get a payout just for being involved.

A disgrace to the fans of WWE Divas would have been for WWE to COMPLEATLY leave the girls off of WrestleMania. But they didn’t. They put your favorites on, and THEN some.

Insert the THEN some… The ‘returning’ Divas were never called LEGENDS. Somewhere, that was plucked from your brain. It was announced that the Divas from the PAST and present would compete in the battle royal. They weren’t exactly rolling out the red carpet for every A-List Diva, but they did lock-in a couple. The basic requirement was that A.) You were on television & B.) That you were relevant. So, from Torrie Wilson to Joy Giovanni, they were DIVAS of the PAST. If they wanted Diva Legends, they would only have a lot of 5 to choose from: Sunny, Sable, Chyna, Lita and Trish. They’re the only girls in their line of business to have shaped the course of the industry. You can count them on one hand and their names are synonymous with WWE fans PAST and present. They banked 1/5 of the ladies and tossed in Mae Young as a bonus measure. There you go.

The only real issue was the ending of the match. Yeah, Santino won, but big deal! Mae Young won Miss Rumble 2000 – you can’t take this stuff to heart. It wasn’t as though the Women’s or Divas Championship was on the line… it was the inaugural Miss WrestleMania Title. Had it been for either championship titles, then I could understand this reaction. But Miss WM? It’s a damn title she can wear around her shoulder as a sash, not a chunk of gold or butterfly pink that goes around her waist.

I can go on and on and on, but to boil it down, the point I’m trying to make… WrestleMania was for all of us Divas fans to enjoy the fact that our ‘girl’ was out there. From an iota of a second to the final four, however long she had lasted… she was still apart of the show. So, the end turned into a comedic skit – again, big deal! It’s a sure bet that that for the rest of the 364 days of the year until the next Mania rolls along, WWE Divas will have another match, they’ll have their “OMG” moments… and hopefully, then, will you be able to smile and let pass without the need of a laxative.

  4. im not suggesting a riot with signs outside corporate offices. if it were only a handful of people upset over this, it would be understandable, but its not. everywhere all over the web, from news sites to diva sites and even youtube, everyone is talking about how much of a disgrace this match was. its not about paychecks and its not about just looking at the Divas in the ring. its besides the point that there was no title on the line. the wwe continuously misuses their Divas repeatedly and it is ridiculous how much air time and creative ideas go into just a stupid male backstage segment. this match had some big names in it. it had molly, gail, and victoria, who have put so much into this business.

who on earth thought it would be a good idea to put 25 people in the ring at the same time? all the wwe had to do was let kid rock finish his stupid trashy song and then let them have THEIR time. the divas are NOT time fillers and thats all this was. set it up like a royal rumble if you have to. bring out 6 divas, let them have their 30 seconds of music and walking to the ring, get a formal introduction by lillian, and get in the ring. and then you could just bring out a new Diva every 20-30 seconds if you wanted to keep it short. that way everyone gets air time, the ring wont be such a clusterf*ck all the time, everyone will at least get INTRODUCED, and it would be a decent match. i bet most people who were there didn’t even KNOW who was participating. and dont throw santino in there. that is just humiliating. the commentators have to “play it off” like they have no damn idea who it is. just because he plays a useless clown, dont let him get in this match. if you want to break up glamarella, sit your ass in a chair in a creative meeting and come up with something else.

putting santino in there is a slap in the face to all the diva fans who were looking forward to this match and to those who even bought the entire PPV just to see that match. it is more of a disgrace to those Divas who participated in the match. do you really blame trish or lita for not wanting to come to this stupid thing? to have all your months of hard work lead up to the biggest event of all and then you just get slumped into a big excuse of a match for what. layla got eliminated while justin roberts was still talking and JR had the nerve to say that must be a wrestlemania record! do you know how degrading that is? wwe would never DARE do this for ANY of their male superstars and you know it.

i feel so passionately against what you said jos that i felt the need to write this and i know i am not alone when i write these thoughts out. the male fans laugh at the divas as wrestlers and cheer on T&A and all of this is because wwe puts on these stupid crappy matches. they chanted santino’s name. what happened when Divas used to get a main event slot on raw every now and then? it is completely ridiculous and i think EVERYONE should give wwe a piece of their mind because why would they change anything if no one speaks up? we’re just going to continue getting crap like this shoved in our faces so everyone in wwe can spend all their precious time letting vince’s son in law triple h have 4 hours to walk to the ring and put on a match everyone knew he would win. it disgusts me and i plan on letting them know exactly how i feel if they want to continue having me tune in every week to watch their show.

  5. This Battle Royal could have been historical, quite franky but it wasn´t!
Once again the creative writers fucked it up and showed the respect and consideration they have for the divas but worst for the fans.
This match if we can call it that way,was the worst I´ve seen in a very long time. And belive me on Raw,ECW,Smackdown we´ve seen some badddd matches.
First they came to the ring without any introductions and we don´t even no who´s gonna participate.
Exemple:I only realized that Molly Holly was the blonde in the ring, when Lawler said her name.

We had in the same ring Molly Holly who is a goddess in the wrestling bussiness,Victoria,Gail Kim,Katie Lea,Natalya etc and we only see them like 1 second.
The winner was Santina come on are you kiding?!?This is an insult beyond repair.
But unless the WWE realizes that is more easy to turn a female wrestler into a diva then it is to turn a biquini model into a female wrestler, the Divas won´t be pushed and their matches will continue to be a good time to go to the bathroom/WC or to get some snacks :´(

    To Jos:
Yeah we understand your point of view but you have to understand ours.We are upset and we have every reason in the world to be upset. We can agreed that all of us comentating this battle royal are Divas fans.
And being fans of the ladies,we feel we have to say something,I don´t think we have to send WWE hate mails but each and every one of us have to speak our minds. And we don´t need to be happy just because our favorite divas appear 1 second on the screen,or get consolated that they receved their paychecks?Or do we?!?

  6. Why should I have to settle for a seven minute crapfest to the tune of Kid Rock?!
WWE fooled us into thinking that there be a memorable match at WrestleMania for the Divas(finally), just to let us down again. We all knew that the vast majority of those Divas wouldn’t last very long in that match, but that was just sad. I didn’t even see Miss Jackie and I didn’t know Joy was in it until WWE posted the results. I thought once the competition narrowed down, we would see a decent match but once again I was let down. And to have Santino win!! That was the icing on the cake for me. WWE caters and dote on their male talent but can’t even spare 10 minutes to give the Divas a decent match for once?! Ridiculous! I’ve put more thought and creativity in my fantasy posts than WWE has in the last three ‘Manias. I think we all have every right to bitch and moan about it. If we, the fans, don’t show we care about the Divas, then who will?

  7. Steven is compleately right.

I really do hope that fans don’t stay quiet and stand up for the divas .. I am pretty sure they would appreciate it. I know I would if I were one of them.

  8. I’ve been talking about the Divas match ever since it was announced/leaked
It was my most anticipated match of Wrestlemania.. or of any PPV really

I seriously hope the person who came up with it is fired..

It would’ve been such an honor for any of the Divas I’m pretty sure they’re all pissed and I hope they let it be known

  9. Thank God that these professional women can return to their daily lives and thank God that hopefully they can forget about that seven minute travesty. Sure let’s jet them in from all over the country. Sure let’s rush their introduction and not name them. Sure let’s let a man in drag win to further demean and demote them … but what does it get us? I should have seen this one coming. I should have figured it out last Monday when Santino did his first walk on. But I did not. I held out for the chance, the possibility that professionalism would overrule cheap, tawdry exhibitionism, but it did not. Where were the bra and panty matches, where were the cream pies? WWE has forever cheapened and destroyed ANY attempt to continue their Women’s Division … any what so ever! Sure I will watch what happens on SmackDown, sure I will root for my favorite Diva, but this bad taste is not going to fade away anytime soon, and quite frankly I don’t want it to.

  10. thanks for the info. i will be calling and sending an email.

  11. I’m an avid reader and follower of this site, as is my ex roommate and we were both completely appalled by the Diva Battle Royal last night. Well actually the entire how, but that’s not as important as the fact the WWE basically just made a mockery of every single woman who has ever worked for their company. I want to say that I filled out the form, told them what I thought lol, and I hope that everyone else does the same. I just hope they don’t do something petty in response to us by giving the divas even less time or some stupid shit like that.

  12. I’m sure Hassan wrote this in the heat of the moment. But in ‘cooler heads prevail’ mode, can I just say, I admire the sentiment of Hassan and other Diva fans who want to complain to WWE. But the truth is, it’ll almost certainly go ignored. WWE doesn’t give a crap what the fans want, there’s a saying in the business ‘Vince tells you what you want’. I would hate for you guys to spend even more time dwelling on it by writing letters that will be discarded almost instantly.

  13. dont agree mel…we should speak out…
lets just hope tna become no.1 wrestling company
    F**K wwe

  14. There’s always the fear of not being heard, but I truly think that if enough people participate, it should make a difference. This is the WWE we’re talking about. The one thing Vince loves above all else is money. Money typically equals a satisfied fanbase. This is the same company that sends its fans surveys every month for the people to evaluate how they’re doing as a corporation. Also, the fact that they even have a feedback form must mean that they’ve got to care at least somewhat. What we need to do is to take advantage of this opportunity to speak our minds and help mold this product. Being silent for far too long has only helped contribute to what the Women’s Division has become. If WWE choose to realize this issue at hand, something’s got to change.
