The 2009 WWE Draft is done and dusted. This year’s Draft makes history, as more Divas than ever before were drafted to new brands. Two Divas, the champions of the company, found new homes on Monday Night and were joined by six lucky Divas in a Supplemental Draft today.

Nattie and Katie are on ECW, which tapes with SD so they can compete for the women’s title instead of that Divas title!

the bellas do not need luck; the women on raw wrestle 2 minute matches and mickie will likely carry the other novice divas in the fake wrestling matches.

@ted first of all i don’t think Cryme Tyme needs a manager to be honest, secondly Alicia’s character as it stands now doesn’t fit with the Cryme Tyme dynamic any changes to her persona just to have her fit in with Shad and JTG would seriously curtail her development as a unique performer…and last but not least….WTF?! as an African American i don’t know how to take the final part of your comment….seriously dude….the fact that you’re actually suggesting Alicia Fox become Cryme Tyme’s manager because she’s also African American is ludicrous and laughable….While there are times that placing wrestlers of a shared back together has it’s benefits, It’s just too easy to lump wrestlers of the same ethnicity together without any real thought or respect to the intelligence of the target audience.

Somebody’s turning heel on SD because there’s no other choice. It’s Melina, Gail, Maria (staying put despite the accurate reports that Melina, Maryse, and Candice would be drafted), Eve, Candice, and Alicia on one side with Michelle and Layla on the other.
@ted last time i checked Layla’s North African with a few other ethnic flavors by way of England….how in hell does that make her Puerto Rican…..she’s predominately Black….maybe she should join Cryme Tyme as well.

Not. It was enjoyable to read some ignorance though. Lumping people by ethnic group is probably the quickest way WWE could get some major heat from the media. There’s nothing wrong with Angela Fong working with Cryme Tyme. The only thing this means is that she’ll be on her way to SmackDown…. which is pretty much flooded with Divas now!!!
As far as the draft, you know, the real reason we’re commenting here, the only draft pick I’m pretty upset with is Natalya. I know Katie Lea needs someone on ECW so she isn’t the lone Diva, but I surely thought with everyone from Natalya herself to The Fink to Trish saying how much of a force Natalya would be as a champion that she’d get put on Raw since SmackDown is overloaded right now.
Can’t wait to see who turns heel on SmackDown though… I’m gonna go with Candice or Alicia because there’s no way precious Maria would turn heel!
I say Alicia turns heel, getting with Edge again & Candice turns heel also. That’ll bring it to Eve, Gail, Maria, Melina vs. Layla, Michelle, Alicia & Candice to even out the face/heel ratio.
I am stoked that Layla has been drafted to smackdown, she deserves a chances to show everyone what she can do. I have total faith in her ability. I can’t wait. The Bella twins to Raw I don’t know if that was a good idea. I think they are going over to become managers for the colons that’s probably it. I also think it may be a ploy for higher ratings in there effort to help the Hispanic demographic for raw.
This is FTW! SD owns RAW’s division now IMO.
I’m thinking Candice will turn heel, and maybe Melina. Who knows? I want to see some of those primal screams in the ring again, and the way she always acted like a total bitch when she was a heel (:
Tbh RAW’s division is gonna suck now. Mickie, Beth & Jillian won’t be able to hold it up when they have the Bellas wrestling Maryse & Rosa haha. It’s gonna be trainwreck TV, live TV is not their friend.

I’m really glad with all the drafts, especially Alicia, she’s the one I’m looking forward to seeing, her and Candice. Who I’m really glad is back to SD.
And the best part, NO MORE BELLAS ON MY FAV BRAND! YAY!!!! So like this has a great effect on the divas and it’s great to see WWE actually seriously drafting divas now!
even though smackdown is a great start for alicia, i really wanted to see her on raw. the bellas could have stayed where they were.

I agree with Marco. I was always an SD fan, compared to Raw, and now that the SD diva’s division owns Raw’s, this is going to be great!! I can’t wait for the good matchups.
I also think Candice and Alicia will go heel(I’m hoping).

mpezza i can see an Alicia heel turn if it’s done gradually…to have her turn with no explanation would just not work….as far as Candice she was at her best being a bitch…the scenario i can see with her is as follows: She comes to SD all smiling sweet and nice…then totally wigs out…ranting and raving about being overlooked…spending too much time making nice and being friendly…when the only thing that should ever matter is being Women’s champion. Being bitter and pissed about having opportunities taken away from her because of injuries….Candice should be the kind of heel diva that even heel divas can’t stand.
I think Beth and (at least temporarily) Rosa will turn face and the Bella Twins will become heels as associates to Maryse who will be the Angelina Love of Raw

with candice they could easily have her turn heel and alllign with michelle and just base it off of them being the 2 successfull diva search girls, they were both from the 1st diva search so it would make some sense, and then after more than likely michelle wins the woman’s title we can see her and candice go at each other with one turning face again and by that time they could have worked on making some of the other divas heel
I’m interested to find out which Divas on Smackdown will be making a heel turn. I would love for Maria to turn heel – she already comes across as a bit heelish IMO but I doubt the WWE are gonna turn her heel (unfortunately). I can see them turning Candice heel and I wouldn’t be suprised if the made Eve turn heel, although I’d much rather her remain face.
I’m glad we got so many diva draft picks this year! I was worried that we were gonna be limited to the four that I read about online so I’m pretty happy also the fact that one of the supposed draft picks I read about didn’t happen so that makes me happier =].
oh and also thought for nattie! i would love to see her and tyson start something with paul and katie, then dh comes and helps tyson/nattie forming the new hart foundation, and then the next week paul needs a partner and goes to his fellow brit, who just so happens to have just lost his manager, dj gabriel! at least it would be nice to had dj back on, plus it’d be a great fued with 6 great talents that could really be amazing

Andre, while I’d prefer personally Alicia to turn heel slowly, WWE also have the option to turn her heel as fast as they want to. Her character already has a history with Edge, so simply hooking her back up with him would get her some immediate heat.
Im quite dissapointed, some draft picks were good. But I think Jillians career is over now. Katie is in danger of release and Natalya will do nothing on ECW.
So now remains the question as to which Diva might be cut off on the chopping block soon….
