Our very own Steven is at the ECW/Superstars/SmackDown tapings, and he will be giving us live spoilers throughout the night. Highlight below to check them out:
ECW:
Tiffany comes out during a Jack Swagger/Christian/Tommy Dreamer altercation and announces a ECW Title Match for tonight between Christian and Dreamer.Natalya is shown backstage with Tyson Kidd. They’re up next.
Tyson Kidd def Finlay after Natalya distracts the ref, which allows Tyson to use the shillelagh.
Superstars:
Maria and Gail Kim vs Michelle McCool and Alicia Fox. I guess Alicia’s a heel now.Gail and Alicia Start it off. Cool standing hurracanrana by Gail to Alicia. Maria tags in and has control of the match until Michelle gets a cheap shot in on Maria. Alicia in control. Quick tags by the heels. Gail get the hot tag and takes out McCool. Gail Kim goes to the top rope and gets nailed by Michelle’s Big Boot. Michelle picks up the win for her team.
Great match and decent length. Smackdown is definately the new Divas brand. Maria was surprisingly good and Alicia was the standout star for me.
SmackDown:
Maria is shown backstage in Teddy’s Office. Chris Jericho asks her why she’s there and she says Teddy wants to see her clothing line. Yeah… sure. Then Edge comes in and proceeds to talk at her. Pointless
segment.Cryme Tyme is in the ring. They want to have a Brooklyn Breakdown Dance Off. Out comes Layla and Eve. They have a Dance off battle style. Lots of Choreography from Eve and lots of crumping from Layla and lots of splits from both. Good stuff. Seriously. =P. The Crowd declares Eve the winner. Cryme Tyme dances with Eve and they invite Layla to join. She does only to attack Eve. Insert catfight. New Feud maybe?
No Divas match tonight unfortunately. Sadness.

After that farce on Raw, finally a Diva’s wrestling match.
Well.. they could have at least given us a storyline as to why Alicia is a heel now. Gosh!

Okay I’m gonna go off topic for a second, did anyone notice on WWE.com that today’s Classic Diva was Kristal. But I just went on a few minutes ago and they have taken down her photos and replaced them with Ivory. I thought that was strange. Hmm….
Just one more thing, it’s nice to have actual good spoilers with details. Usually we get like ____ vs ____. Typical diva match.

I completely agree with you. I mean, what was up with the 8-Diva Tag Team match on Monday? That was absolutely POINTLESS. I hate that WWE is using the Diva’s Division to push over A MAN, especially Santino! It’s an insult to those Divas, seeing that they work hard (even if their ring work doesn’t show that, i.e. Maria, Kelly Kelly etc) and to have them job to a man, and even HORNSWOGGLE is downright insulting! I wish we could see WHY Alicia is now a heel, instead of them just changing it out of nowhere. WWE takes their time in building up a character and then giving them a storyline to turn them heel (Matt Hardy,etc) yet with the Divas, the creative team is just like ‘Oh, well, the crowd probably won’t care which Diva is face and which Diva is heel.’ UGH.
Meh. Raw was bad because of Hornswoggle and Santina (and not the girls themselves), but this just isn’t interesting to me. It’s not that it sounds bad or insulting, just uninteresting. I am left with these questions and thoughts.
Where was Melina? She’s not only the champion, but she’s the only one of the 8 SD Divas that is charismatic AND gets strong reactions AND can have a good match with someone who is below her level, in-ring wise. If only 1 or 2 of the SD girls get airtime, she should be one of them. When 6 of them do and she’s not one of them, there’s a problem.
Pretty stupid that the actual wrestling match was on Superstars, WWE’s least watched show, rather than Smackdown.
I was pleased that WWE went without a “Diva dance/bikini contest that doesn”t lead to anything but gets more time than the Divas’ wrestling matches” for a good 9-10 months. I hope this was just a one-time return.
Pity, starting with Raw the night after WM, things were looking up. Now, Raw was stupid and lame, while these spoilers are just “eh, whatever” to me.
Why couldn’t the match be on SD and the dance thing on Superstars? I hope they use Alicia right as a heel and give her some in-ring time and good storylines.

Slapshot, that’s a good point. Every Diva except Melina (and Candice due to injury) was used on Monday or Tuesday at WWE’s TV events.
I think they may air ‘Melina coming soon’ promos like they did with Maria last year?

Smackdown’s the show to watch for Diva action…sucks to be a Raw Diva unfortunately….I wonder how they’re going to repackage Melina…since she’s Mexican and they brought Rey back to recapture the Latin demographic…i wonder if WWE will have Melina embrace her Mexican heritage character wise?
Looking forward to both Superstars and Smackdown this week.
I think with the pinfall over gail, michelle may emerge as melina’s first title contender.
I hope so, i think both ladies are great in-ring workers and could share amazing chemistry.
