The match was overall in my opinion a decent one, but what would have made the match an even better one in my own opinion would have been explaining to us viewers why/how Alicia Fox went from being DJ Gabriel’s dance partner into being a heel and solo. It dosn’t make sense, and I hoped, not expected—I hoped that the WWE would have at least cut a short backstage segment or at least something to explain to everyone why/how Alicia Fox became heel and solo. I’m not going to deny the fact that Alicia Fox played the heel role well, but what would have done us viewers some good would have been her at least coming down and cutting a short promo talking about how she was done being just a dance parter. But I don’t pend this on Alicia Fox, it’s the WWE’s fault for being so careless with the Divas Division. The company never does this kind of crap to their male superstars, so they shouldn’t do it to the Divas either.
I like the pace of the match. I normally can’t stand Maria but at least she was tollerable in this one. I first though the kick Michelle used to end it might have been botched but I took a slow motion look and it looks like she put it where it needed to. This is the 2nd time I have seen her use this finisher. I pitty the Diva whos going to get her teeth knocked out or worse yet get a boot in the larynx if Michelle ever does miss it.
Really think this deserved the smackdown slot over a dance-off. All 4 seemed to be on top of there game. Was good for gail to finally get a good reaction from the fans, maria was botch-free and alicia looked great aswell, but i still think they shouldve explained the heel turn. Im not feeling michelles new finisher, i really think they should unban the “banned” wings of love, it was as much more satisfying finisher. Does seem like the melina-michelle feud is a go, todd grisham mentioned that michelle was looking for the womens title after the match. Overall was a really solid match and proves smackdowns the show to watch at the mo.
Meh. Not bad, I just didn’t care, plus Alicia was the only new part of the match. Otherwise, just stuff we’ve seen, especially Maria/Michelle.
I’m really dissapointed because on Raw, Maryse-Beth and especially Maryse-Mickie (which I think could be huge) should be taking place instead of Santina and Hornswoggle crap while the Smackdown girls are getting to wrestle, yet the only potential feud on the Smackdown side that interests me whatsoever is Melina vs. Gail (without Michelle involved).
