You probably won’t get the title unless you live in the UK and ever watched ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes, but anyhoo it looks like some of our current Superstars and Divas are hoping to mould their careers on the successful legacies carved by some of WWE’s biggest legends. Among them three Divas: Michelle McCool, Mickie James and Natalya who all seem think that they have the va va voom to be the next legend. So which legends do they aliken them to be like?
It’s about to be a girl fight as both Raw Diva, Mickie and ECW’s Natalya seem to think that they’re the next Sensational Sherri.
Mickie James
I’d probably compare myself to Sensational Sherri. She was unpredictable and a ball of fire. Sherri was down to earth and funny, but wild and crazy too, she was one of the greatest.Natalya
I see a lot of other traits of Superstars before me that I try to emulate, though I like to blaze my own trail. I really like Sensational Sherri. Her in-ring timing was impeccable and the energy that she exuded was timeless. In some crazy way – good or bad – she had class.
I think I’ll award this round to Natalya. I can see a lot of the fun eccentricities that Sherri had in Natalya. Both were/are very much their own women and have that crazy, sexy, cool confidence. Mickie and Sherri? Not so much. I’d say Mickie is more a combination of Moolah, with that always reliable wrestling ability and some of the spark of Lita.
Meanwhile, first ever Divas Champion, Michelle goes for the obvious pick - Trish Stratus.
People have always told me they see a lot of Trish Stratus in me. I think that’s a great compliment. She was beautiful, athletic and she was here to prove something. That’s exactly what I’m here to do.
Hmm… besides being blonde and athletic, I don’t see much of a similarity between these two. Michelle lacks the personality and charisma that made Trish instantly likeable. Michelle, to me, is more like ‘that chick who had the skills but lacked the fan connection and never truly got over’, which to me is a Diva like Ivory.

I couldn’t agree more about the whole Michelle McCool deal. I dunno why she would think she could be the next Trish Stratus when she lacks such and important aspect of what made Trish Stratus…Trish Stratus.

Michelle McCool and Ivory!! Nah don’t think, Ivory had a much better heel persona than Michelle will ever have and Ivory was quick witted and amazing on the mic, I am a fan of how far Michelle has come on with the wrestling side but don’t think shes a Trish or an Ivory!

I don’t see Michelle becoming the next Trish Stratus at all! Even when she was a face she really didn’t (IMO) get much of a reaction from the crowd. She was just blah.

I do see a Natalya-Sherri connection. Sherri did go on to greater fame as a manager than she did as a wrestler, so maybe Natalya can make something good for herself out of her new role. She does need to be more active at ringside during Kidd’s matches, though.

I agree that Ivory had way more personality than Michelle. I would liken her to Tori. Poor mic and acting skills, but a great in ring worker.

i love michelle but i agree with melanie, michelle has zero personality or mic skills she has to really work on that i agree with lee i would also compare her to tori,
i bet all those michelle haters are going to spread rumours about her saying she thinks she’s the next trish or is better then trish, goh why do people always have to twist someone else’s words?

Last I knew, Trish WASN’T either of these attributes; she STILL is. That could just be nit-picky of me, though, so who knows. But that’s what stood out most to me.

I agree with Melanie, too. Natalya and Sherri is actually quite a good comparison, come to think of it.
I don’t understand either how Michelle McCool could be compared to Trish Stratus at all.

Michelle, Trish… No, not alike at all… Trish actually has skill and charisma! Something Michelle will probably never have! Dream on McCool.
I think that last sentence was an insult to Ivory! She’s also way better than McCool, I think you guys are forgetting her RTC run and her first womens championship run, MAJOR HEEL!

When Trish was still in wwe the crowd loved her heel and face.
Trish had skills and Charisma!!! In which Michelle dosent have.
Michelle doesnt even have a personality or mic skills.
All she does is spin when her music hits…I mean she has to add some spice to her life.
Ivory had EXCELLENT mic skills so did trish and thats what Michelle lacks.
I dont hate Michelle she is a good wrester but she needs a personality coming on and spinning and
doing the same big boot every week is Lame.
Natalya and sherri are very much alike I agree.

Mickie has great mic skills as Ivory did.
Ivory was always jumpy in her matches getting the crowd on their feet in which mickie does.
When Ivory was face and she comes to the ring she interacts with the crowd.
In which Mickie does also ?.
I dont know maybe its just me who thinks so..does anybody else ?.
Just stop and think about how ivory was during her good days as a heel and face
and compare her to Mickie james today heel or face. To me they are alike
