The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix returned to top form last night on WWE Superstars, leading her protege, Rosa Mendes to victory over the Bella Twins. Check it out below:
Sure she was playing in the ‘kiddy pool’ but it’s a starting point to getting her Raw career back on track, after all a win’s a win.
Have I ever told you how much I hate when girls wrestle in skirts? *Death stare at Rosa* Anyway, Rosa and er, a Bella start off this match and as expected, it’s nothing spectacular. I admire the fact that the Bellas try to keep the in-ring style fast-paced but their work is sloppy, at best i.e. that double hip toss. One of the Bellas then hits an okay monkey flip, while tagging in the other one who hits some sort of running beckbreaker… I don’t know what that was.
Rosa finally shows some offence but honestly, isn’t showing much flare in the ring, I mean at least the Bellas try to. Rosa tags out to Beth and you’d think things would turn in her favour but not just yet, the Bellas actually manage to subdue Beth (really?) and as the match ends, even manages to hit a facebuster and go for the cover. Seriously? A Bella can knock out Beth that quickly? They really aren’t fussed about protecting her character anymore. However Beth does manage to come back and hit her Glam Slam for the win.
Like I said, it’s a start for Beth. Though this was a pretty missable, mediocre match.

Glad they brought that kind of Phoenix again ‘cuz Beth in the past months seems to be a loser big dummy since she lose and lose to Mickie James. Bellas did a great sold-out job to that Grand SLam!

Not a bad match – the Bellas look good, as does Beth. I’m a little iffy on Rosa, but I’m sure she’ll get there. And speaking of Rosa, I cannot stannndd her ring outfits. I know it sets her apart and all that, but she looks like 1/4 of an R&B girl group that got lost from the other three girls wearing the same outfit in alternating colors. IDK… It just looks ridiculous to wrestle in.
I was never a fan of girls wrestling in skirts either – when Mickie started doing it in OVW I thought it looked so out of place. Mind you, she had her skimpy underwear on display whenever she so much as jumped – no bloomers. But whatever.. I’m just glad the girls were able to have a decent match on this show, as limited as the time schedule is.

This was a decent match, even though a litle sloppy. I don’t think I ever want to see another drop kick though. Those were in abundance. Kicks aside, the Bella Twins looked better than usual, I guess they may have had some practice time since we haven’t seen the wrestle in weeks. Beth Phoenix also looked good, as usual. But Rosa, I honestly don’t know what to think of her in the ring because I haven’t seen enough. Any offense she does get in a match lasts about 30 seconds until she gats a tag.
I was also surprised by how easy it was for the Bellas to get Beth knocked down. I guess The Glamazon was weakened by Santina.

I love Rosa. I hope she gets better ring attire soon, though. Pretty sloppy match, the Bellas shouldn’t be allowed that much offence in imo, they look pretty weak.

iu like rosa outfit its cute….and the twis are getting better…but maybe they should wear different colors so we dont get them mixed up…..or have one come with str8 hair and the other with curly…

I thought this match was very good. All the divas were on par and seemed to not make any mistakes that I could see. After watching the match it was Nikki that was pinned so that means both the twins have at least been pinned once. Nikki having been beating by Beth and Brie having been beating by… Nikki. LOL

I was impressed by the bellas, i think their pretty good wrestlers now and they try to improve and use tag team tactics, i like their fast pace wrestling too. Rosa was dissapointing here, bad selling and looked uncomfortable – needed to be Jillian instead of Rosa. All in all pretty good match with the bellas shown improving.

your right mace rose looked so boring in the match she was looking so skinny in front of beth .jillian looked more better if she was beth partner.bellatwins are improving also

that was the bella twins first lost as a team, and also only brie’s 2nd lost (i dont count the big 16 diva type matches) and only nikki’s 1st. and as for rosa, i say dont be too harsh on her yet, she has yet to reallly been able to get any kind of offense in, plus she’s supposed to be being “trained” by beth so she should be green according to the storyline.

i hope next week on superstars we have another divas match…with jillian vs gail…..i wanna see them two duke it out…im kinda tired of seeing divas tag matches……or maybe natalya vs gail vs jillian……anywho i wanna see theese three divas in action and really shine cause they are so talented and under used….
