Two thirds of The Beautiful People were interviewed by Phil Strum of the Poughkeepsie Journal, who maintains his own blog called Under the Ring. The original two thirds, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky talk about the addition of Madison Rayne and more.
On Rayne, Sky dishes:
Madison’s really come into her own. At first, we were kind of like, ‘do we really need a third girl with us?’ We were kind of both skeptical about it, but she’s really come into her own and she’s adjusted and fit in well with us, so we’re happy to have her.
I have to be honest here, I’ve been following TNA a lot more in recent weeks and I don’t see how she’s ‘adjusted and fits in well’. I don’t think it’s through any fault of her own either. She really does feel like the less important third wheel and doesn’t feel part of the team. TV shows make a lot of casting changes that don’t just seem to fit & attempt to fix what ain’t broke, but I’m not feeling Rayne as part of the Beautiful People.
Part of the reason why is they haven’t really done anything with her since joining the team. Where’s the team dynamics? I think they should start planting the seeds for feuds and in-fighting, I could definitely see Madison and Velvet fighting to gain the ear/attention of the Knockouts Champion, Angelina. This group needs some interesting dynamic within it.

i actually think Madison is better off without TBP. she seems like a good wrestler but has to take the blows for their faults and this puts her improving in TNA as a whole. Lets hope she ditches them and joins the good guys leading to a much better future for her in TNA because IMO TBP are dragging her down.

what are you talking about,i love Little Maddie.She fits in PERFECTLY into the beautiful people.Madison Rayne is exactly what Angelina and Velvet needed to not getting stale in the knockout division,Lets face it,Madison Rayne brought something NEW AND FRESH back to the beautiful people.Also,after velvet sky,Madison is the second hottest in the beautiful people,sorry angelina,lol.
Madison rayne and Velvet sky do play sidekicks to Angelina but who cares,Madison leaving the beautiful people would NOT work out,TNA only has 1 show a week for 2 hours and TNA is hiring a lot of new knockouts and Madison being alone is not going to get her any TV time,at least when she’s with angelina and velvet,she looks relevent and IS getting TV time
everything is perfect,i love Madison,she’s my favorite member of Mi Pi sexy and also,Madison Rayne looks like Mickie james sometimes

Madison doesnt fit with them at all, Angel&Velvet have like really the bad-ass look she looks innocent,
to me she comes of nervous and doesnt really know what she is doing with theBP, she’s like standing there
and i’m thinking, oo hee look it’s the beautiful people… and the other girl/Madison

has anyone else noticed too that when ever “Mi Pi Sexy” come to mthe ring Madison is always at the back. And walking down the rampAngelina & Velvet never seem to talk to her or even look at her.
saritafan i disagree. Yes there isnt enough TV time but there is Xplosion! I think TNA need to give Madison the oppurtunity to show herself and then when the crowd become more familiar with her persona then she will get more TV time.

i dnt see her as a beautiful person. she isnt all tht attractive to me, and looks awkward with her hair like tht,. i prefer her as face. bt ya know, if it gets her tv time then whos complaining?

MickieJamesFan,that is soooooo not true,whenever Madison has a match,angelina and Velvet ALWAYS put Madison in the middle and as there walking down the ramp,angelina and velvet are always either holding Madisons hand or putting there hand around her shoulder,they know Madison exists.
xplosion is ony for the internet smart mark fans,for the casual fans that don’t go on the internet,Madison needs more exposure on TV and she has gotten just the right amount up til now

I agree with saritafan that Madison fits in just fine. At first I thought she would only drag TBP down, but three is such a better number. The ladies work well as a trio. As for her looks, I don’t think she looks a thing like Mickie. She’s attractive, but I see no resemblance.
Oh, Velvet is definitely no the most attractive of the group. I love her character and pomos, but the girl seems so trashy to me. Half the time she looks fine, and half the time she’s a hot mess.

I am personally starting to warm up to her. I didn’t like it at first, but I’m used to the idea of a new Beautiful Person now. My only suggestion would be improvising in the entrance a little to include her more. She still seems left out.

I think the grouping works as a trio. You have Angelina as the clear leader plus her two sidekicks. I think Madison fits in as being a better wrestler than Velvet but not as good as Angelina. On her own, she would be lost and be largely forgotten. I am not seeing the resemblance to Mickie at all in her. Mickie is a better wrestler an d a completely different character.

When I first saw Madison on the indies and in SHIMMER as Ashley Lane, the first thing that came to my mind was TBP. Maybe because their ring gear was so similar (colorful top, black pants and fingerless gloves) but she always looked like a baby Angelina to me. Skipper to Angelina’s Barbie you could say. I don’t think that she’s has quite fit into her new heel persona just yet as she’s used to being a face. Sometimes she just seems awkward and comfortable alongside TBP. Maybe if they’d let her talk it’d be a bit better. I haven’t heard Madison say three words since her debut.
As for Madison looking like Mickie. I don’t see it. At all.

Yeah. I realized TBP don’t need her. She needs them. But hey, TNA not letting the former SHIMMER’s champ and favorite girl ALWAYS LOSE? Well, I’m not liking that. I’m sure they are focusing to Tara not Madison but I really like her in the ‘Mi Pi Sexy’. Go Madison!

i like madison rayne, but i don’t think she fits with TBP (thats just my opinion). it started out with two, and i just think it should stay that way. i’d like to see madison rayne turn face, because i like her, just not as a heel.

I’ll always see TBP as a duo. Just like DX will always be HBK & HHH only, no matter who they added later. Madison is a third wheel I hope they will break off. Maybe she’ll grow on me, but I highly doubt it.

If she wasn’t in with TBP, she’d be floundering as badly as Sojo, but I also wish they’d do something to differentiate her character a little since without that she’ll always be overshadowed. Maybe have the other two continue to treat her as a third wheel or something.

I disagree, I personally think that her position is working out very well for the Beautiful People. It’s almost like the Women’s version of Evolution. You got Flair and HHH as the leaders (Sky & Love) and you have a combination of Orton and Batista (Rayne). Rayne, being the lackey in a sense, doing the dirty work (or at least attempting to) while just being a “yes ma’am” character. I think if TNA pulls their head out of their arses for this angle, great things can come from this. Rayne get’s trained and continues, and then one day she just snaps and goes ape-shit crazy on TBP.
