The recently released Candice Michelle took part in a live chat with StarCam.com this past week, her first interview since leaving WWE — speaking directly to the fans. In the chat, Candice admits that she saw her release coming and was ready to leave.
The Diva, who had well documented injury issues, knew ‘her time was up’. She continues to say that she asked John Laurinaitis why she was being released, he responded “It’s time.”
It seems to me that after her several injuries, she had given up on her career, which is sad.
Interestingly, Candice offers her criticism of our current Divas Champion, Maryse who she says ‘does the same three moves over and over’.

i think it was Candice’s time. in 2007 when she was on top of her game, she was great, but the injuries just saw her fade away, which is sad…
and tbh, yeah, Maryse does tend to use the same moves alot.
Candice needs to just go away.BUt yeah 2007 was her year after she came back the crowd wasnt even into her like that,its sad to see that she gave up though it would have been nice to see that she had little passion left.
Well she was right about one thing Mayrse does do the same 3 moves, ddt,hair flip,came clutch
I’m not Candice’s biggest fan, but (if it is true) they should have given her other answer when she asked why was being released..It would be a lot better if he said that was because the injuries (we all know that it was the reason)
And yeah, she is right when says that Maryse only does three moves.
wow! you are so wrong! in the interview that I watched she said that she was suprised to be released and she didn’t see it coming! you make it sound like she was a horrible person when in the interview she was the nicest person! and she is right about maryse… she does only do 3 moves!
Candice was the worst Women’s champion since the joke reigns of The Kat and Hervina and just took the spot that should have belonged to Mickie James at the time. I’m sure she’s a nice woman and all, but if she never steps foot in a ring again, it would be a blessing for the business and women’s wrestling in particular.
cmmi220 – Err, please take the rose-tinted glasses off. How have I made her sound like a horrible person? All I’ve stated is the facts, I haven’t even added my thoughts to the post like I usually do.
As for the interview, I didn’t watch it myself, but that was the recap that was e-mailed to me by a regular contributor to our site and I don’t think they have any reason to twist the facts. Furthermore, I have since corroborated the recap with other sites [including Candice fansites] which have said the same thing. So I don’t know what you were watching, to be honest.
um… candice couldnt do any of her movess. so shes in no situation to critisize the current divass… especaily since there all better then she ever wass…

The moves she does over and over in the matchs are for her character … her camal clutch is a cockey one, her ddt swings her hair, plus her sexy taunt at the ropes are all ways to show her characters attributes. And for this remark to be coming from Candice Michelle? The Queen of Botches?

Maryse actually comes back healthy when she gets injured.
Not a fan of Candice but she was telling the truth about Maryse. I don’t care how good her character is, you can be cocky and conceited but still put on a decent match(ex: Chris Jerico or Jack Swagger). Besides the whole ” I love myself ” character is getting old and she is not that over with the fans as she should be, just my opinion. I used to be a huge fan of hers and hated when she was left off of smackdown episodes but now she is just blah.
I’m hoping at Night of Champions she will suprise us critics and kick serious ass, but something tells me that the match will be just full of taunts.

Speaking of that, I heard Maria in an interview describe what happened to Maryse’s knee and what it looked like backstage right afterwards. Ii sounded horrible, and I still can’t believe she missed so little time with how painful it had to be.
In my opinion Maryse is a good wrestler and i don’t see her botching a lot of moves, in one match.
Candice did botch sometimes but i have to disagree Ashley, out of all the divas, has botched a lot of moves in most of her matches.
Maryse does have a limited moveset which is boring, but she doesn’t botch a lot. Candice was on top of the world in 2007 and after that clavicle snapped so did she. Its really sad because if her injury probably had not happened she would still be competing. In 2007, I loved her, but her return in 2008 was just bad and she just went down hill. I wish the best for her.
I believe that Candice got fired b/c she had given up on herself and obviously they saw that.
Why keep someone on your roster if they don’t want to be there?

Candice was being the called the next Trish Stratus, the most improved Diva of 07, one of the best womens champs ever, etc.
but that was 07…
things would totally be different if hadn’t gotten injured
as for Maryse before her injury she was becoming one of the top divas on the smackdown roster
just look at the tag team match back at survivor series in 08
she was the star of that match imo
but she came out the same after her injury
shes just gotten a little boring cuz she has such a limited move-set.

To be Honest I love candice so Much, and her injury in 2007 was heart-breaking because it ruined her career. I am not upset that she got release by it almost makes me cry to see her just give up hope. She may have botched a lot but at least she was amazing person, unlike Michelle who is a good wrestler but hates all her fans. And Chris Calling Candices Title range a joke, you need to get a life. She was not the best diva but her improvement was so good. And i would like to see you chris take up wrestling and see if you can enter wwe without any wrestling expirience and by your 3rd year win a championship
