Great article and always good to see another Melissa fan getting the word out about her earlier work. One thing that always makes me laugh is when you mention a name like “Cheerleader Melissa” or “Shantelle Taylor” and most (not all) fans of the top two company’s seem to just ignore them, because they aren’t in the “big leauges.” Which is why I think your articles about Shimmer are always the first ones to read, over the other article wrote on D-D. I know it would never happen but imagine the prospect of a Flash/Chif feud; like the one on the Shimmer volumes. That would take the Knockouts division up a peg or two.

I think I prefer the ‘Future Legend’ gimmick to the cheerleader one. With all the hype from Sarita’s debut, I expected Alissa to just job to her, but in my opinion, Alissa was the real star of the match.

I need to see more matches from her as Alissa Flash, I loved her on SHIMMER as Cheerleader Melissa, she’s awesome in the ring, she can make a great heel persona and she has a lot to offer as a wrestler. I liked her as Raisha Saeed, it was a unique gimmick for a female wrestler, but I really got tired of it. Now that she returns as Alissa Flash, I can’t wait to see more from her, she always will be one of the best in the industry, but has she got a good gimmick going on?! She looked a bit generic on her match against Sarita. I hope she gets a showing of some heel personality, and maybe a title run, so she can shine at her most.

Great article Steven! I agree with everything that you said. Now that Melissa/Alissa is getting her chance to shine, I really think that it is only a matter of time berfore she rises to the top of the pack. I can only imagine how amazing it would be if she and Victoria/Tara got to have a really great feud. Those two would easily be able to outshine everyone else on the TNA roster, male or female.

Good story Steven. I also love the irony of the name Cheerleader Melissa. She is one TOUGH cheerleader. I hope in TNA she uses the Kudo Driver as her finisher for most of her matches unlike in Shimmer where the Air Raid Crash is used the majority of the time.
