In the opening contest of Victory Road, Angelina Love shockingly regained the Knockouts Championship in what I can only describe as WWE-esque ‘shock value’ booking.
Angelina pinned Victoria, after Victoria missed a beautiful moonsault from the top turnbuckle — however Victoria’s foot was on the bottom rope.
Post-match, Victoria superkicked referee, Slick Johnson and hit a Widow’s Peak on the new champion.
She loses the Knockouts title after only a 10 day reign. I honestly can’t see the point in giving her the title in the first place, just to take it away from her so soon. It looks as though TNA’s booking of the Vicious Vixen is just as awful as WWE’s was, her momentum has been stunted first by triggering a title change too soon and then by having her drop the title just a week later.

Im So Pissed off. I watched the match. It was a good match but Im sick of Angelina Love winning. What was the whole point of that happening. Tara should have won. I was hoping that the referee would restart the match but of course that doesn’t happen. Tara should have Widows Peaked both the Referee and Angelina Love after the match. Which match do you think was better Melanie? Slammiversary or Screwjob i mean Victory Road

What company nowadays really does their booking to everyone’s pleasure? No company. To some, Angelina Love winning is a good thing while to others Angelina Love defeating Tara is a bad thing. The companies can’t satisfy everyone, and I figure that Tara losing tonight will hopefully add on to their feud. Otherwise, if the feud doesn’t get added on to and TNA just throws Tara into the closet than that is really sad. But, I don’t see that happening… I only see their feud becoming bigger.

While Victoria/Tara is one of my favorite wrestlers, I felt that she won the championship to soon and would drop the title today. Tara made her TNA debut about a month and a half before winning the title.
Buizel123: I’m not trying to instigate anything but you say “It was a good match but Im sick of Angelina Love winning”? Angelina had only held the championship for a few weeks before Tara came in to the picture and beat her AND the rest of the Beautiful People numerous times.
Angelina is one of my favorite female wrestlers: her body is bagnin’, she’s got lots of experience, and she’s been with TNA since the knockouts division since it was established. She deserves to hold the belt a little longer.
The feud is still going to go on and it’s only going to get better.

Oh I have no doubt that they’ll continue feuding but I think giving her the title and snatching it away so soon renders her title reign pointless. I would much rather Angelina had retained the first time and then build to Victoria’s title win after a couple of PPV matches, then give her a lengthy run with the title.
They hotshotted the title onto her far too soon and then took it back after 10 days, which hurts her no matter how they spin it into a storyline.

I’m really disturbed by this. It was a good match (kind of small), but it was weird, because Victoria deserved more time as champion. I hope this will lead to either, have Victoria regain the title or making SARITA come in the picture and capture the championship, later, Victoria could turn crazy-heel and have a great feud with Sarita.

They revealed later on in the show that TBP have something going on with the ref. I can see the match being thrown out and the belt either defaulting back or being vacated at this point. They should’ve just held off Victoria’s win until now and just given it to her, though. Angelina’s had the belt for like three months and there are so many possibilities for new feuds now.

I still think Victoria will win it back, but there seems no point in a 10 day reign. it would’ve been better to have Angelina retain until the next PPV, then have Victoria win in then.

Just thought I’d put this out there: On a recent episode of TNA Spin Cycle they announced that Tara signed a new/longer contract.
Do you think they gave her the KO belt just so they can take it away from her as soon as she signed a new contract..?

I think Maybe it was Victorias decision to drop the belt, like she said in one of her blogs before, she is also concentrating on MMA, maybe its too much to juggle two different sports entertainment.
But its like if wrestling wasnt scprited maybe titles would chamgehands more often, making TNA seem more of a real wrestling company.
The fued will carry on though, its merely started and will come to a big finish…maybe Victoria has a saying in her head ” Best things come to those who wait!”

OT: Maria has been training at FCW recently and posted a pic of a “nasty” scrape she got. the scrape is only from running the ropes though, irritating tho as everyone has commented the pic saying hw shes an inspiration when she shld have been in FCW long ago

i just find it a bit odd and im a little pissed off for Tara (Lisa Marie Varon) because all the press she’s been getting in the wrestling world didnt she just get a magazine cover not to long ago like a week ago to now see her lose after only being champion a recorded two wks in just doesn’t seem fair
just like Mickie/Maryse feud i see this being dragged on and on the difference is when it comes to storylines and booking even tho this is an odd booking to have someone win get such praise and magazine covers to now having to drop it to Angelina Love i have to agree with Fraux Britt Angelina has been there longer if she dropped to anyone i much rather been someone with great ring skill like Angelina or Kia Stevens aka Awesome Kong
now the Jenna/Sharmell match i can’t say i didn’t see it coming it looked like one of the women’s matches that WCW used to put on by throwing girls in
i will say i thought sharmell would have the advantage going in being she probably been in the wrestling business alot longer then some of those other girls and she was ok in WCW. Lol maybe now ppl will to appreciate Maria for the Face Jobber that she is lol

you guys are missing the point, and then after the match they saw madison rayne come out from a room with slick johnson, the ref who reffed angelina’s match, meaning that the beautiful people bribed him into “not seeing” victoria’s foot on the rope. This was done to give TBP more heat becuase they are top heels,
dont worry im sure vic is going to pick up a meaningful title reign soon but at the moment its all eyes on angelina.

Jane – How did you find that out? That’s interesting, and it makes sense. Maybe that will be the reason why Traci Brooks comes back in-order to look over the Knockout division. I hope so, I liked the whole Traci Brooks watching over the Knockouts division somewhat like a general manager, and I hope that with that being thrown out into the water Tara gets a rematch this week or the following week against Angelina for that belt.
Now that I think about what Jane said it makes a lot of since. Hopefully, Tara will get a rematch either this week or next week on TNA because although I like Angelina as champion, I love Tara as champion.
