Everyone’s favourite Londoner turned Miami Heat dancer turned WWE Diva, Layla also made an appearance as part of last night’s SmackDown — well the online edition anyway, in “SmackDown After the Bell.” This week’s After the Bell saw Layla confront Ricky Ortiz for interrupting her last week and shows off some of her comedy chops:

“Stop copying my hair!” Funny segment. We have never seen too much of Layla in backstage skits or in promos, but if this is anything to go by, we really should. She did a great job here, showing personality and humour

  1. Got to say i love Layla so much, obvs from a bias point of view i would big her up over most things, but i have to say Layla does cut awesome promo’s she uses great facial expressions and she also uses her hands when she talks to make what she is saying come across more real and interesting, also being english i love her accent, you see her and you would expect an american voice to come out but no an english one does, which makes her unique in my opinion.

When i realised that Layla had turned face i was very happy with it because i love her as and aggressive, bitchy heel however from her last two promo’s it really made me feel that she could pull off both, it makes me laugh because when she is heel her face is very pouty and unimpressed but when she is face that all changes her face suddenly glows with a beautiful smile, i love layla and i do hope that one day she will recieve a title shot and seeing as she is face and Michelle is heel this could happen, seeing as i am guessing McCool will retain at NOC.

Also just want to say that i feel Layla and Ortiz work very well together, that compliment each other in a very positive way and could pull off a great “funny” promo together.

  2. p.s. loved it when Layla threw the towel in his face, haha

  3. I gotta say; I love the Layla- Ortiz dynamic. This promo was hilarious! At the end I laughed so hard, the whole throwing the washcloth or whatever it is in his face, funny. Him saying “oh yea, she likes me. She’ll be back”, priceless. I laughed so hard.

P.S. Is it just me or was he really into her personal space? I’m studying psychology and body language really fascinates me. Anyway the point is: either they’re good friends, or he actually likes her.

  4. Ok I watched it again, could be wrong about the whole ‘personal space’ thing. But I really, really love his facial expressions and their dynamic is brilliant. Hope the WWE does something else with this. Oh yea, I didn’t say this before but I love Layla. I always wanted to see more of her and now that I do, she doesn’t disappoint.

  5. I would love to see more of Layla’s comedic side. She seriously had me laughing at the end.
