It’s a staple of tabloid magazines: hard hitting, investigative & highly entertaining! Best & Worst Dressed lists can make or break careers in Hollywood and for a site with ‘Dirt’ in the title, it’s only fitting we take this time tested feature & apply it to our Divas! Each week we’ll bring you the best and worst looks from the week gone by, it’s pretty simple right?
Key: School-like grading scheme
Congratulations to Maryse, Lauren, Jenna Morasca (sort of), Alissa Flash, Melina & Michelle McCool for making our inaugural ‘Best’ list. It’s not just about the clothes you wear, it’s about the way you accessorize it and the way you do your hair too. These Divas and Knockouts displayed sexy, smart and well-rounded outfits this week.
Beginning with Maryse, a Diva who brings the sex appeal to any outfit she sports. Our Divas Champion opted for a slinky black dress this week, with an off-the-shoulder look. Finishing off with an aptly fitting belt and the most gorgeous pair of gladiator sandals ever. This girl knows how to accesorize and never over-does it. Grade: A
Meanwhile, TNA’s in-house correspondent Lauren looked sassy yet classy in a shoulderless black top and jeans. A simple look, but it’s in her accessorizing and hair that Lauren really pulls it altogether. The oversized long necklace adds a little more jazz to the simple looking top, while her hair looks effortlessly tied up. B+
Third on our Best list is Jenna Morasca, shockingly enough. Following her trashy look at Victory Road [more on that later], Jenna pulled it together for Impact this past Thursday with a cutesy look. I like the fun, vibrant loose-fitting top over the leggings. But the big plus is her hair, super sleek and straight with bangs on show. C
Both of our new TNA Knockouts make it onto this week’s list, but thankfully for Alissa Flash she makes it onto the good half. Ditching the uncomplimentary yellow from last week, Alissa looked more comfortable in her peachy/orange attire this week combined with a nice ring jacket. But it’s the hair & makeup I’m loving the most, the streaks of colour around her eyes is a nice look that I’d like to see her continue in coming weeks, using a colour that matches her attire that week. And her bouffant-esque hairstyle looks neat and tidy, which is something this blogger is a big fan of. B
Speaking of hair — our next two entrants are being honoured solely for theirs! Melina and Michelle McCool looked really pretty, Melina with her long straight, luscious locks. She always looks like something out of a shampoo commercial. Meanwhile, Michelle’s hair looks even better up than it does down. She should do it more often! Honourary mention.
This week’s ‘Worst’ after the cut:

With the good comes the bad and sadly for this crop of Divas & Knockouts, they fell short of reaching an acceptable Diva Dirt standard. Apologies to these girls but if they’re reading [which they likely aren't] consider it a challenge to make it to our ‘Best’ list next time!
Congrats are in order for Jenna Morasca, managing to make both the ‘Best’ and ‘Worst’ lists. It just goes to show that style can fluctuate. Jenna’s leopard print attire looked as though she’d stolen something from Maria’s wardrobe while the tights underneath looked cheap & trashy. There’s a right way & a wrong way to wearing tights under your shorts/skirts. The right way is Layla & the wrong way is the Beautiful People, Jenna’s look fell under the Beautiful People category. Minor mishap.
Raw’s Mickie James is known for her bashful colour-clashing ring wear, so it’s not too surprising that the four time Women’s Champion would fall on the wrong side of our fashion radar. The bottom half wasn’t so bad, but the tiny, shiny top wasn’t complimentary of Mickie’s body type. Minor mishap.
A double mention next for Kelly Kelly and Gail Kim. The Raw Divas had to show their legs in an otherwise standard tag team match against Rosa Mendes & Alicis Fox. But unlike their opponents, their ring attire felt mismatched. Kelly Kelly’s shiny silver top and pink bottoms looked more like ‘Volleyball Barbie’, though I do admire her trying to make the outfit seamless but it still looks horribly tacky. Gail on the other hand usually has some semblance of uniformity in her attire but not this week. The mesh top is grounds for an automatic ‘Worst’, sorry. Kelly: progressively worse / Gail: minor mishap.
As we mentioned earlier, both of the new Knockouts made our list this week. But while Alissa Flash made the half you want to be on, Sarita makes the half you don’t want to be on. I can appreciate that her style of attire is seen as the norm in Mexico, where she was a mainstay, but on national television in America — it doesn’t look so great. Progressivey worse.
Last but not least, I think this name may as well as buy a season pass — it’s Maria. Maria is the total opposite of the first name we mentioned, Maryse, her accesorizing is cluttered and there’s far too much going on in all of her outfits. From the tassle belt to the glove to the little jacket thing, it’s far too much. Plus the bright yellow, what is essentially, a bra was too little even for a WWE Diva that is meant to show skin. Rosa Mendes showed us the right way to wear the shiny black leggings and looked a whole lot classier while doing so. Lost cause.

Luis – I agree that Maria looked decent this week on Smackdown. To be honest, I don’t think that Maria’s wardrobe is as bad as some people make it out to be. Yes, sometimes it’s a bit over the top, but the entire purpose of it standing out is so that she can stand out. Clearly, she’s standing out if Diva-Dirt is constantly bringing up her wardrobe. Yes, Maria’s not this incredible wrestler, but it’s like everytime I read a blog about Smackdown involving Maria it’s like they never say anything nice about the woman. Her outfit this week on Smackdown wasn’t bad it worked well and she looked in the words of Luis ‘okay.’ Lmao.
Maria is the worst dressed?! Well I am shocked!
To be honest, I didn’t think she looked THAT bad. Her hair was a little frizzed-out, but the outfit was more cute than what she usually wears. I agree about the accesories, though.
WWEDivaFan09 – People have different opinions. You may think she looked ‘okay’ but I think she looked awful. I’m not going to sugar coat my opinion of her outfit just because she looked ‘less awful than usual’. That doesn’t make sense to me.
PS: No where in this post have we mentioned anything about anyone’s wrestling ability so I don’t know where that’s coming from. But if you want to bring it up, I do believe the last time she wrestled, I was actually quite complimentary of her…
Opinions differ person to person, we will and do give Maria [like anyone else] credit where it’s due — unfortunately, she hasn’t impressed us on a regular basis. Again, we’re not going to sugar coat our opinion of someone just to appease people. If you think we’re giving her a hard time, it’s not something we set out to do. There’s no ‘We have to always criticise Maria’ agenda.
But one thing we’ve come to realise after doing this blog for so long, once people make up their minds there’s no telling them any different. So if you want to believe that there’s a ~Maria conspiracy~ nothing we say or do will change people’s minds.
I don’t think Jenna or Alissa should have been in the best dressed list; especially not Jenna. That top is just gaudy. Jenna’s wrestling attire is simply awful and I really don’t think we needed a shot of her vajayjay as she was entering the ring. Mickie, Kelly and Gail looked ‘meh’. They were all just bad. Sarita’s ring attire reminds me of Melina’s for some reason. I like Maria’s lower half, but the top half of her just looks really trampy & I hate yellow.
Agreed with most, but Sarita’s. Last week it was definitely awful with all the wrong colors and in the wrong places. But I like this outfit. I like the joshi inspiration in it, with the colorfulness and bigness of it. I like most of Stock’s gear, just not last week’s.
I agreed with all them comments, LOVED alissa’s look she kinda looked like she had a sci-fi tough yet lady gaga look (cant explain it) i am also a hater of Sartia’s attire so far it just looks cheap unlike her inring skills. However i disagree with the Maria comment, i think Maria looked her best she has in a while i loved her straigh hair with the frindge and she looked great in the yellow i personally thought, so i agree with them all but Maria. I liked this little good and bad dress topic, i think you should keep this idea up dont drop it!
Gosh, Maria looks TERRIBLE, I hated to see her with Dolph Zigler, she looked too much like his “you know what I mean”.
I hate to say it, but Serena did look like an ugly piñata. Gail and Kelly looked trashy as hell. Mickie looked like a drunk gladiator. Jenna Morasca looked like what she truly is, a newbie that wants to drag attention. On the best list, Michelle looked (in my opinon) kind of boring, same with Melina. Jenna looked good. Alyssa looked amazingly awesome. Lauren looked too bad to be on the best list. Maryse shoes = Perfect, but overall, she was great too.
P.S. Layla looked great in the Ortiz thing, I’d switch Lauren with her.
Melanie – I was not asking for you to sugar coat your comment, nor was I bashing your comment I was simply stating MY opinion on Maria’s attire. If you disagree than you disagree, no need to respond back to my opinion when I know good and well that people are entitled to have their own opinions. I was stating mine and I didn’t find it necessary for you to even respond to my comment when it was not addressing you. It was me talking about how I agreed with Luis who thought that Maria’s outfit was okay.
By the way, I am fully aware of what was written in the post, Melanie. I didn’t need you leaving a little post script about how Maria’s wrestling skills weren’t in it. Lol. It was me simply making a comment about you, not the other writers on this site, you – who I personally felt was always insulting Maria in your posts. You can disagree, however that is just how I saw it.
I thought Maria’s outfit was okay this week… well a lot more decent than what she normally may choose, however I wish she’d loose the gloves… give them to Dolph Ziggler, I’ve seen him in some leopard print gloves, maybe he could get some use out of them.

Sarita might have a long stay on the worst list. She needs to get in contact with whoever does Rey Mysterio’s ring attire. It’s possible to look cool while still maintaining the luchador heritage.
I hate Kelly Kelly and I’m not very fond of Maria but they didn’t look bad at all!!!
