In her post-match interview last night, new Divas Champion Mickie James called out Michelle McCool for the comments she made on Friday Night SmackDown, saying she was better than Moolah and Trish Stratus, to name a couple. It seems as though a Mickie vs Michelle match could be on the cards:
While this could be a very interesting match, I’m not ready to abruptly end the Michelle-Melina feud. Last night reignited their rivalry and I think we all want to see it made a trilogy. However, Michelle and Mickie had some fantastic chemistry at last year’s Survivor Series and I’ve been wanting to see that match ever since.

I cant wait I hope they do a nice-build up then face off at SS!
I think it might be Maryse and Michelle vs. Mickie and Melina for both titles at SS.
Mickie V.S. Michelle needs to happen. I’d love to see them on a Champion V.S. Champion at SummerSlam, maybe a lumberjack match with all divas around the ring?! If it happens, I’d like to see McCool getting the victory, so she can gain more credibility as a champion.
I never thought Mickie would look so great as the Divas Champion!! That fugly thing was made for her! I wont miss Maryse as a champion, that’s for sure…
Good to see Mickie defending divas of the past! Great Champ!!!!!
As much as I would look foward to a Mickie vs Michelle feud/match, I don’t think it would be fair to the other Divas for the match to happen. RAW still has Gail Kim and Beth Phoenix warming the benches and those women (along with Jillian and Alicia Fox, who has proven–at least to me–to be contender-worthy) need to get into the picture. RAW has a full deck of cards and they need to start using them pronto. Smackdown may have a fewer number of women to work with, but if anything, Michelle vs Melina proves that the feud can last a little longer while the other Smackdown Divas are built up or new ones are introduced.
Regardless, I think any woman holding the two championships simultaneously would be the Kiss of Death, especially now that the women are working hard to earn credebility and respect for both titles. You really need to have the fans 120% behind you, like Lita and Trish, circa 2001-2003. If anything, I think the WWE should adopt what they do in Mexico and have an independent contest, regardless of brand, and crown a “Reyna de Reynas,” or “Queen of Queens.” All women wrestlers would be eligible for the Queen of Queens contest (and I think this would help out the ECW women who are in exile without a title), yet the winner would still remain in her respective brand, that way the Women’s and Diva’s Championships are kept in either RAW/Smackdown and other women would still be able to compete for either or title.
Mickie is so focused man lol had to say it but she really is and I hope she stays that way.
I think what they should do is have a 3-on-3 Raw Divas Champion Team vs a Smackdown Women’s Champion Team match.
For Example:
Mickie James/Beth Phoenix/Gail Kim vs Michelle McCool/Melina/Natalya (or some other Smackdown Diva)
They could do this to push several points:
A-Mickie/Gail (possible) feud-They could have Gail either win the match with a blind tag on Mickie or have Gail lose the match after a blind tag on Mickie.
B-Melina/Michelle feud- They could show Melina and Michelle actually working together, until it counts and then have Michelle not take a tag from Melina and Melina take the fall.
C-Mickie/Michelle (possible) feud- The champs could either be in the pinning outcome (Michelle pins Mickie after the FaithBreaker or Mickie pins Michelle after the MickieDDT) or yell at the woman that loses and attack them (Melina gets pinned by Mickie and Michelle gets in the ring and plants Melina with a Big Boot or Gail gets pinned by Michelle and Mickie freaks out, turning heel, disposes of Michelle and lays out Gail with the MickKick)
D-Push Beth Phoenix back into Dominance-Have Beth Phoenix lay low during the match only coming in every couple minutes and helping her respective team. Then after the match have Beth lay everyone out. Throw the Smackdown diva out of the ring, Lay out Gail with a big move, same for Melina and Michelle then have Beth hit the Glam Slam on Mickie and walk out, taking back her claim of The Glamazon and her spot as the WWE Dominant Diva.
Again those are just some “Off The Top of My Head Thoughts” but I think it could be a really really intense and Epic match, provided the WWE gives the women time to work the match and the right amount of build-up. We all know Mickie, Beth, Gail, Michelle and Melina are capable of delivering some really really good matches and I’m pretty sure Natalya is up to it as well.
